Xeph, I see what you are tryng to demonstrate.

I'm sure this dog doesn't look like yours, Aakay, and I agree with your snide remark as I too am thankful that's true. Looking at workinglines often makes me wonder if it's a purebred GSD or a Mali cross.  How can those dogs work with those straight rears? Yikes!!!

I always note Paska Salztalblick (and the majority of the Salztalblick dogs) and the two Anrebri boys (Frankie and son Francesco) as working lines with beautiful structure

By the way, aaykay, that bi color is a bitch, not a dog

blitzen sometimes u seem to lack some insight..............u say   Looking at workinglines often makes me wonder if it's a purebred GSD or a Mali cross.  How can those dogs work with those straight rears? Yikes!!!

malinois' are taking over the police and military jobs??

i guess that doesnt matter as long as u have a pretty looking GSD.....................Angry Smile

Eddy - these are more obvious.....
the pose for a dog "changes" the look of the dog, here are several different stacks for the same dog.
for the educated eye of an experienced judge, they see the same dog, for the rest of us, each stack makes the dog look different.
falts are always present, some are less obvious..some are more obvious.

here the lay of her shoulder looks off.

here she looks roachbacked - but she is not

here she looks very long

here her long pasterns are pronounced.

the stack, is a tool to make a dog look as good as possible in front of the judge.
the basic stack position is always the same so each dog can be compaired against each other
the handler must have enough experience to pose each dog to present the best possible picture for each venue its shown in (AKC, SV....).

picture 2 and 4 not nice at all.................1 and 3 are passable.

how about just having them pose like this........      http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/dog.html?id=2659

eddy, you are not getting the point..........its not what you like, its what the (professionsl) handler and judge want to see......its not going to change, get used to it, or find another breed.

by Blitzen on 06 March 2013 - 15:03

Eddy, do you even understand why I said that? My goal in life is not to educate you.

by Blitzen on 06 March 2013 - 15:03

Eddy is a WL troll. Most showline people have stopped posting to and reading this board.  Anyone wonder why?

by Blitzen on 06 March 2013 - 15:03

Kim thanks for taking the time to copy those photos here. Some of us get it.

by SitasMom on 06 March 2013 - 15:03

You're welcome Blitzen, most people wil not post photos they don't like, and I understand - they want their dogs to be presented in the best possible light.

Eddy, I don't care what you think is "passible", its not for you to decide.

A stack photo only gives a profile, it doesn't show the whole dog.

Or its working ability.
