Well done. David... that pretty much sums things up.  I know the "KC" read these posts, so no need to send them a copy I guess.

I still think that "we" need to get a legal perspective re: their suspension.

Well writen David lets hope they take some notice
untill they change their attitude to health testing screening I refuse to submit any documentation for my new breed and I will remain under the CMKU for this aswell as  breed surveys even though it entails travelling to Czech, I dont want them spoiling and dictating on my other breed, even though I have to put up with them for my GSDs. Although my next will be pink papered then I wont.

What a very factual, unemotional  account of our sad state of affairs, thank you David for putting that together, I have been reading all the postings and really am at a loss to know what to do to help our breed. I, like so many others have refused to join the accredited breeders scheme until the KC put their house in order, to which they have done diddly squit....So do we really need CCs or anything else from the KC. I think not, we just have to be grown ups and get our house in order to really promote and support the GSD now and for the future, surely that is not impossible, others have done this before...

Another question.... why haven't we heard anything from our clubs i.e. The League or BAGSDS with regard to this threat from the KC, I would have expected them to ask for some response from their members.....

I GIVE MY BLANKET AGREEMENT TO ALL OF THESE, AND SIMILAR REQUESTS.

All I ask is there is NO EDITING without my express agreement in writing. If anyone wants a copy of my article in WORD file, simply email me with your request.

I appreciate all the positive comments I have received, and the many emails. I sincerely hope my article contributes to a successful future for our GSD breed here in the UK.

The GSD breeders & exhibitors here within the United Kingdom, need the whole International GSD community to support them in this fight with the Kennel Club (UK).

The Kennel Club are trying to change the "GSD TYPE" - they clearly prefer the *English Alsatian" Type.

Send your messages of SUPPORT to:

This article is written as a factual piece, which simply "says it as it is". Of course it puts the Kennel Clubs policies regarding the Health & Welfare of Pedigree Dogs into a much clearer perspective. It helps the reader more fully understand the truth about the current very serious situation between the Kennel Club and the GSD Breed here in the UK, and that will be an excellent achievement. If the Kennel Club is "alienated", by the facts presented, surely that must be what is deserved. The truth can be a powerful tool in any disagreement, it is also useful in facilitating fair and balanced dialogue leading to an agreement.

I sincerely hope the Chairmen of the GSD Breed Council, the GSD League, and the BAGSD, will publicly endorse my article.

Just read this article, loved it. Glad to see it will be in the DOG PRESS, hopefully it will open a few eyes.  Would absolutely love to see it on the front page of the Times or a Daily, that would be a real kick in the ass for the K.C.  Well done and fingers crossed it helps get  a good result!!!! we all could have a better GSD registry.I heard from the owner of NPCR "National Pedigree Certification Registry "...last week. His registry is not doing well and he asked me what I thought could be done to make it better. My reply was go for a true one breed registry.
With all the turmol in AKC and other registries right now it would make sence to me to have a breed registry for say one breed...the hunting dog people have done it,the stock dog people have done it.Then you have more control over making your breed the best it can be.
