thank you joyce, that matches my papers so looks right, if you have the kennel club stud book summer 2009 for the pastoral group, my girl "Donicon countess Leah" appears on page 20 where her mother is listed as "Graybeck Gimli" however on her kc papers her mother is printed as "Greybeck Gimli", in your opinion, should i be concerned at the spelling discrepancy?

Don't be worried about the spelling error, my first german shepherd the breeders affix was spelt wrong on his papers, even though they managed to get the other however many pups correct.

sleep easy in one way, but know that poor Willowdale O`shey - Ninja,  and other Graybeck dogs are sitting in the RSPCA now having been seized I am told.   Ninja has lost a litter of puppies - she was in whelp when seized, and the RSPCA didnt go in and get the pups out - went over by the sound of it a week, and then lost them all, having last 2 delivered by c/s dead.    This is the RSPCA - and other top and experienced caring breeders offering help, but the RSPCA couldnt take up their help due to legal reasons (red tape I wpould call it)- the dogs have to stay there for now.   Shey and Ninja are the most super couple of dogs, and really dont need to end up here, if anyone in the UK can get on to the RSPCA and can offer them a home in advance, it would be great.  I know Ninja well - she is friendly, loves people, not too good with other females, but very biddable, she above all, will be desperate for a loving home, and would thrive well in that environment.  Shey is a superb temperament, and a lovely looking dog too.  Both dogs have been reared with children and other animals - I just hope that posting here, the word will spread in the UK, and perhaps they can have good and loving homes awaiting them when they are released.    Mo.
Graybeck Janus is dead, was shot for sheep worrying at 14 months of age..  This was totally unrelated to the RSPCA issue.

Penny, i had no idea about these dogs, i know nothing of them other than they are grandparents to my 11 month old bitch. It is heartbreaking the way the rspca have treated them both, especially ninja amd her unborn pups. I would have loved to help in rehoming but my eldest bitch is 12 years old and it would be too much at the moment as i do not breed and my dogs are family pets. I seriously hope someone on this forum can help them. I am heartbroken and appauled that they should be in this situation in the autumn of their lives. Thanks for the information. very sad.

I would be interest to find a picture of "Colthurst Promise" or to find out anything about him. He is the sire to my 11 Month old bitch "Donicon countess Leah".
When i collect my girl at 8 weeks i was unable to see the dam, the breeder told me she had run away on Blackpool beach whilst on a walk the day before i came. This started alarm bells ringing straight away and i probably should of lost my deposit and run a mile!!. However i took my girl home, and almost a year on she is a super dog. It would be nice to find out a little about her sire, especially as i never even met her dam "Graybeck Gimli". I personally believe that she was maybe in a poor state and they chose not to show me as my girl was very underweight and it took the vet weeks to sort out her tummy problems. She is now in the best of health im pleased to say but i will certainly be more careful next time i get a new pup.
