As I said in a thread on 17th March, "Put's a whole new SPIN on the phrase PASS THE BUCK, dont it !! KC to Channel 4, Ch4 to Sunset & Vine. I am almost tempted to say Come back Jemima all is forgiven." and just as a reminder I repeat a copy of the replies I got from Channel 4 to the complaints I made.

Dear Mrs Belfield,
Thank you for contacting Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries regarding CRUFTS 2010. We are sorry to hear that you disapprove of the comments made on the programme regarding the health of German Shepherd Dogs. As part of More4's commitment to having an open debate about the health and welfare of dogs during the 2010 coverage of Crufts, there was always going to be some discussion about the issues that exist in certain breeds.
Clare Balding was highlighting a well documented health issue that some viewers may have noticed themselves - which was subsequently noted by the BVA. Nevertheless, please be assured that your comments have been logged and noted for those people responsible for our programming.
Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. We appreciate all feedback from our viewers; complimentary or otherwise.
Regards,
Ryan Thomas   Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries
To which I replied:-
Dear Ryan Thomas
With all due respect my original complaint contained a question which you, in your reply, have failed, or is that refused, to answere?
What is the point of asking me to tick the Yes or No box relating to FAQ if when you reply you still fail to reply with an answere? This really is poor practice and as far as PR is concerned . It really isnt good enough is it?
Yours Faithfully
S M Belfield

By the way, the above was a follow on from the first (original) complaint I sent to Channel 4 on 16th March, which I have shown again below.

Dear Channel 4,
I want to make a complaint about the comments made by Claire Balding on the Best of Breed German Shepherd Dog.
Can you please confirm this interview between Clare and the KC rep Caroline Cisko was both staged and rehearsed
specifically to make this particular reference to the German Shepherd Dog. If this was not the case, then please can you explain why it took the programme 24hrs after the German Shepherd judging was over to actually hold and screen this particular interview? Considering the occasion and nature of the discussion, these type of interviews are normally held on the same day as the relevant group of which the breed been discussed belongs.
I would just like to add that as a past and valued customer of DFS, and a regular visitor to their large showrooms at Thorpe Arch nr Whetherby , Leeds, if this type of bullshit reporting is what they want to be associated with as a sponsor, I shall refrain from frequenting their premises in the future and shall be passing these sentiments onto all my family, friends and neighbours, who by the way all admire the type of FULLY HEALTH CHECKED AND TESTED German Shepherd Dog your presenter chose to disparage. Awaiting your reply with interest. Yours Faithfully , Mrs S Belfield

And still the bullshit continues and with regard to the coverage / audience any Canine newspaper carries, I agree with Bazza , it will never equal the viewing reached by a National Televised Crufts.

Sue,The problem is people can,t see the woods for the trees.
After Crufts 2008 when Zamp was be littled by nobodys.also the Judge.
You could see that the K.C. was out to kill the G.S.D.in the U.K.

Going to Crufts this year was like walking into a lions den.
F.C.I/K.C. would never act in this way,

Opa, Never a truer word !! Not to forget the bad treatment dished out to last years Crufts BOB as well, that everyone seems to have forgotten about. Why people continue to support this show while these people are in charge I will never understand.
After what was said about Zamp I vowed I would never go again.

Opa couldn't agree more and Sue also on the treatment of Zamp. As a young lad it was always my dream to get to Crufts, believing it was the ultimate. Eventually I did qualify and the bubble burst. This is not how the GSD should be "shown", it's all  carpets, shiny floors, pomp and ceremony, suits, rules and regulations, regimental!!!! If i were to be truthful all it really is is a beauty pageant, and a huge money spinner for the KC. Qualified many dogs after that but never attended again. I do not mean to disrespect those who do enter and believe it is the be all and end all, i just do not. This is not a show for the correct GSD, just my opinion

I went this year, and loved the Best of Breed, who I havent seen since he was a puppy - Lagos - a super dog with all the right working qualifications.  His handler really did a great job with him.
I wont be attending again until the management at the KC changes and brings itself into line with the world-wide standard for German Shepherds. Sally

Crufts is an anathema to the objectives and direction of all proponents of the international GSD, be it working or breed. Place to gather and see a few friends, if you must.

Here is the STATEMENT
'As part of More4’s commitment to having an open debate about the health and welfare of dogs during the 2010 coverage of Crufts, it was inevitable that there would be some discussion about the issues that exist in certain breeds. Clare Balding chose to highlight a health issue which was also subsequently noted by the BVA. The Kennel Club has since received a number of emails and phone calls from viewers concerned at the appearance of the dog.

The Kennel Club would not and could not interfere with More4 reporting on these issues in the way that it sees fit.

Although the Kennel Club cannot comment on this case in particular it should be noted that within all of the high profile breeds, both judges and monitors were required to submit a report about the dogs that they saw before them at DFS Crufts. These reports will, as always, go to the Kennel Club’s Dog Health Group and if there is a discrepancy between them the Kennel Club will ask the relevant judge to provide an explanation, which will be assessed accordingly.

The Kennel Club is taking firm action to address the problems which it perceives in the GSD breed generally and has asked all GSD clubs to sign an undertaking to confirm that they recognise that there is a problem with the conformation of the breed at present and only those which sign will be allocated CCs from 2011 onwards.'

Yeah... Clare Balding thought of that one all by herself; the slow motion, prepared footage that was shown at the same time (the day AFTER GSD's were shown) as her "off the cuff" remark, was just a lucky break!  PULEEEEEEZE!  Old Caroline Kisco should have kept her head still if she expected anyone to swallow this poop, it was nodding as soon as Clare started her part of the script!  I would say, "don't give up your day job, Caroline"... but, that's exactly what she should do!

Who writes this claptrap for the KC?

edited to say, "as soon as Clare started her part of the script".
