Whats your dogs Crazy Weird Habit? (fun topic) - Page 2

Star will bounce a ball off her nose. I can't display valuable ornaments less than 6 feet off the floor because of this habit. It happens too often for it to be accidental. I'd say about 50% of the time you throw a ball to her, she will 'head' it rather than catching it. I think she must have been a soccer player in a previous lilfe!

The only thing she's broken so far is a picture frame, but I've been lucky. The TV screen has taken quite a few direct hits!

She also likes to drop toys into the water bucket, then can't get them out. Fortunately, Big Brother Ranger will dunk his whole head into the bucket to retrieve the toy. Yeah, I have to change or top up the water quite frequently because of this...

Ranger loves to play with rocks. He digs huge holes in the dog yard in search of them. He then chews on them/carries them around. Sometimes he will put the rock on the ground, push it with his nose until it starts rolling, then bark at it, as if it's alive. It's hiarious to watch, but it has really done the number on his teeth. They are worn nearly to the gum in places, and his gums bleed if I give him a bone or rawhide to chew on.

Where to begin, My dog is just weird but I love him no matter what.

If I toss him food he wont catch it in his mouth but has no problem catching the ball.
He always has to have the left side of the couch. He wont sit on the right side and if I sit on the left side he weasels his way in (mostly sitting on me). Thats just to name a few

My dog, Toffee, seems to get frustrated in between training scenarios and will begin digging!  If I am busy talking to my trainer for too long or the instruction is too long for her liking, she will dig!  Doesn't matter if the ground is dirt, turf or sand, she will try to create a hole large enough to call a den!  Silly dog...you are not a husky!!

While I was at work, Reno would go upstairs to the spare bedroom and snatch the cabbage patch doll and undress it.  Never chewed the doll or the clothes but would simply strip it naked, lol.

She also had a cute quirk.  She loved white, very soft stuffed animals and would suck on the ear, nose or butt each nite before she fell asleep.   She would put it between her paws, start sucking (not licking) and after she was finished would fall asleep with her "bunny" between the paws.  Never saw a dog do that before. 

I still miss that dog!

Jack likes to snorkle on the bed and groooan like a bear each night before he goes to bed...its his silly routine saying he has had enough and will be going to the cave soon .

OhRuby is a fetching queen and will even do extensive obedience routines with something in her mouth if you let her. IF cows are out and she is not allowed to move them or round/herd  them up she will round  buggs up..or so she thinks..they of course just fly away.

Opal likes to cheerlead Jack if he doesnt want to play she MAKES him.. she will get toys and plop them on his head or in his face and then cheer him on with a bark..so that HE fetches them to me.

Animals ...especially GSDS are such great therapy and fun..wouldnt have it any other way!
