Love that wide Boy head on the top one!

Yeah, his head was different than the others. His temperament was different, too. He's the one we talked about that one day a while back, remember?

I do.  How's he turning out now; independent?

Nice pics but i believe there were more than two pups in that litter.  Where is everyone else  :)

Beautiful youngsters, both of these.  Poor Gero, banned from the room...it is an adorable picture, really. He looks miffed at the very suggestion that HE is in any way at fault for this situation. [He's right, too--when puppies don't 'do right' it's always our fault...] I trust he regained room privileges immediately after the photo was taken.   Mojo looks like he was listening to something promising when that shot was taken...

OK, hallix, new pictures of Daenerys, please? And some of the coated girl would be nice, too, Jen.

Before a certain time in Germany, a very nice dog out of two V parents like this had a very good chance of going VA. Boy has competed in Seiger show in US if I am not mistaken. Back in those days this would be termed a breeding for " Show", yet still genetics for very high working aptitude.....nice job Jenny! This is my idea of GS breeding producing form and function as the breed should be....IMO!

Gustav, I believe you're correct--in fact, that's where Boy received his 'V' conformation rating...@ the 2009 USCA Sieger show.

VKGSDs

by VKGSDs on 27 March 2013 - 23:03

If I am not mistaken, Boy was V2 at a show before he also V'd at the Sieger Show.  I'm pretty sure he even beat a successful show dog there that is now VA.

I owned a Boy son for two years, nice dog and really fun to train.  I miss training him.  I got him SG rated twice (at 13 and 18 months, once under an SV judge at a WDA show and once at USCA show).  He also ran a 3.9 in flyball which I know isn't exactly a breed test but that's basically unheard of for a GSD or a dog this size.

VKGSD, yep--a month before,  the same judge placed Boy ahead of the dog said judge named as VA1 @ the Sieger show. Granted, Boy wasn't eligible for a VA rating in the Sieger show because he didn't meet the requirement of being at least SchH2, but for him to have landed so far behind the VA1 dog did nothing to refute the allegations of political machination trumping conformance to the breed standard [there were 11 VA's, and Boy was V23...thus 12 other dogs were ranked above Boy despite the fact that HE had been ranked ahead of the VA1 dog 30 days earlier...]
