Keith, I'm already growing bored. You'd better tell me an exciting story soon.

Don't feel bad, we've all done something stupid to get us bitten! Mine was trying to break up a fight between two bitches hell-bent on killing each other, and got a horrible bite right in my "fat roll" on my waist, God did that hurt for a long time!

That's gonna have a lot of pretty colors in a couple more days! I dunno about all the scratch-like dings, but I had a set of puncture wounds on my wrist in just about the same place a few years ago.....I was the dim-witted one! Beckett was as fast as a snake when he was a young thing, it never occured to me he would bite ME just because I was the thing moving in front of his face, LOL....live & learn! They heal pretty quickly, just keep it clean, watch for heat at the site, pus, or that red streak up the arm, or swelling...LOL. Feel better! jackie harris

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!
My arm looked close to that when I got bit by a 7 foot Texas Rat snake YEARS ago... Yes I was the dim -whitted one too.... I didnt use the feeding tongs when I fed the snake and I got nailed instead of the mouse... I never made that mistake again...lol
Hope you heal soon... Cephelexin works and so does Amox.. you can order the ones labeled for fish from Revival Pet... it is cheaper that way....lol.

I had a med student (public place, summer time & my arm wasn't covered) become concerned & some "medic term" I don't remember = but the gist was regarding the "deep" bruising, & could result in "blood clots" that could travel to ....

As I say in my house, someone get me some hydrogen peroxide!

Peroxide didn't work. Spent half the day in the ER today having a hand specialist reopen the wounds so they can drain and getting IV antibiotics. They wanted to keep me but I talked them out of it as I have animals to tend to and no one else here at the moment. Have to go back tomorrow for more fun stuff... Thank god for vicodin.
Kalibeck, those "scratch like dings" are the marks molars leave.

JYL, I'm suprised that you got bit in the first place. I remember sevearal years ago we were up in the Siera Madre mountains. We found a big timber rattler, but I did not get bitten. I didn't within 10 yards of him. My best advice. ecs
