I was always under the impression that a debate consisted of representatives from both sides of the 'argument' obviousley not for the KC.

Spot the theme -
It was not us it was the Judge..........
It was not us it was the Crufts Vet.............
It was not us it was the TV company...........

I hope those that have decided to sign the KC undertaking now take a long hard look at their decision and the consequential implications. If you have not yet signed surely these actions by the judge/crufts vet/ tv company are enough to make you see that if you sign the undertaking you are signing away the international GSD in the UK.

Lol Missbeeb, Shame she didnt nod it a little more vigorously, being one of the KC puppets, it might have dropped off. In their latest statement they say:-

".....it was inevitable that there would be some discussion about the issues that exist in certain breeds".

Then I wonder if the KC can now explain that if this 'Health Issue' was something Claire chose to 'Highlight' on a breed that was exhibited on the Thursday, WHY it took her all of 24hrs to notice it !!!

IF,  as the KC would have us believe, it was inevitable there would be some discussion that exist in certain breeds, why wasnt this 'Highlighted' on the Pastoral Day?? Of course it couldnt have anything to do with the KC having to check up first how the dog was bred could it? No, that couldnt possibly be the case, the KC are FAIR AND TREAT ALL DOGS AND ALL BREEDS EQUALLY DONT THEY? NO, of course not, ONLY the GSD Breed and its Clubs was slapped with a Specially designed Undertaking. The breeds that need fans to breath at Crufts, can only managed one ring circuit before panting profusely, need a vets expertise in order to whelp, go blind, have brains to large for their skulls , obviously none of these have Health Issues more in need of the KC's Special Undertaking attention than the GSD Community. Sheer bullshit !!
The KC want to Control us, they dont want us running off to hold proper Health events which will 'highlight' the KC's own show scene for the sham that it is. No they want to dictate what we can and cant do , what amazes me the most is why so many of you are prepared to be THEIR VICTIMS !!

Just as a matter of interest for anyone who has a copy of all four days of Crufts, did the KC have one of these little HEALTH tet o tet with Claire on any other day to discuss the Breeds with Health Issues that appeared in the previous 24hrs then??
Would like to help point this out but my interest of KC Crufts was zilch so I neither watched nor taped it, but it would be an interesting point for the priviledged to observe.

Regards
Sue

*These reports will, as always, go to the Kennel Club’s Dog Health Group*

Is this the same group who wont make health compulsory, what a cop out, there was many officials round Gsd ring who have been given authority over the judge

Rule states
Kennel Club officials and show officials are expected to refer any dogs that they believe to be unhealthy to the on-site vet, who can authorise the dog’s removal from further competition at that show

Clearly there is no case to answer Unless the KC are taking advice of the new expert on Gsd's Clair Balding

Good point, Joyce!

Sue, I'd put money on it that there wasn't.  I watched it with "half an eye" and don't remember any other breed slated like ours... or filmed in slow motion.

In truth, I think we should all take Bill Owen's advice.............. just walk away.  It'll take time to educate the public and I'd be willing to bet the KC will do all possible to make life difficult for us, especially where Sch is concerned (they're teaching their dogs to bite people) but.... who gives a rat's ass about the KC, let's just go and leave them to get on with it.

the Secretary of the Kennel Club - Caroline Kisko

The KC's customer relations skills judging by Facebook are utterly disgraceful!
