I fail to see what Len's so called connections have got to do with anything that he is quite rightly saying in his posts ?.  After all , what Len has written is only common sense to anyone who has genuinly got the breed at heart !.

by A Shepherd on 16 September 2009 - 22:09

svbc1 you are naive to the politics, Len's comments do not come from having the breed at heart but from jealousy otherwise why does he only attack one person on this issue when there are many in the UK breeding from animals that have not had elbows xray'd as well as those breeding from high hips.  Why not attack them all? As far as my research goes the female in question has not failed an elbow xray and neither has any of her progeny, though she does have progeny with 'a' normal elbows. So what is  Len talking about? Can he show us proof what he says is correct, No because there is nothing but his speculation and as he doesnt even know or understand SV Rulings what chance has he of being an expert in anything else?

The problem with LEN is he fails to see the "bigger picture" - he should ask the SV why do they consistently introduce new health screening tests on a phased basis, over some years, voluntary for several years, perhaps even recomended, and then following this period of years, they make it mandatory. When he establishes the answer he will understand why it is so important to do this for the breed itself. Not for any individual advantage. Len I am far from being an idiot, I know why!

ass shepherd,
you went through a lot of effort to defend your mates.but in reality not needed-where did you think the german imports were were going to be placed ? its just a shame that the owners cannot say they bred the dogs, and in some cases in this country, allegedly never even train their imports !

what does seem a bit unusual though is that 3 of the top kennels never entered this TOP SHOW-love to know why that is !

It may well be that everyone's entitled to "voice" their opinion, but the constant harping on and on... Len, Pencil et al, makes it totally obvious that it IS indeed, the green eyed monster at work... no doubt.

Who cares why some didn't enter?  There are some "missing" from most shows.

The constant bitching and malice (always from the same posters) is nauseating.

It's a wonder that there are any committee members willing to put on shows for such ingrates!  It is your like, that contributes to the decline in entries... I for one, seriously pity anyone so consumed with envy and hatred.

I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and so did the people I spoke to.  It was well organised and well supported by sponsors... WELL DONE!

missbeeb,
I also enjoyed the show, but its true to say that the MAIN winners you could have picked before the show got under way.
As for those TOP kennels that never entered in our main show ( along side the 2 day show ) it  is very curious, but like you I already can guess why.Sadly it concerns me because unlike you I don't have ROSE TINTED GLASS or Keep quiet hoping one day Missbeeb might get to the top..........

You make less and less sense, Pencil.

My "rose tinted glasses" afford me near perfect vision, thank you!  It's reasonable to assume that a good animal, on form and showing well, stands a good chance... that's not rocket science, is it?  Even if I do disagree with placings, I'd never come on here and slate the dogs or their owners... how shoddy!

I'd offer you a loan of my rose tinted glasses, but doubtless you'd be unable to see me offer them... through your blinkers.  You should try life without them sometime!

You were clearly born on a dark night... try moving towards the light Pencil... it's good fun here, the people are nice and so are their/our dogs!

missbeeb.
an optician awaits you !! regarding the sieger show, nowhere have i slated the dogs or owners, just stated facts that are in the public domain.anyone can buy a german/ european dog, but where is the pride, passion and thoughts of having done well when the dog achieves.the main persons to get exicited are their bank managers no doubt.
the other point you chose to ignore-where were the top kennels-if as you say a dog is doing well-where were they ?

Pencil, not everyone enters / goes to every show... dogs out of coat, knowledge that the judge/s prefers another dog/s, type, money... sometimes you have to pass on one or two because the finances won't stretch.  I suspect we both know that there are judges who "do favours" and exhibitors that ask for them... it's a pity and it does our breed no good atall, but some people simply cannot cope with losing the odd place... they'd rather cheat.  There... it's not a topic I'd pick to discuss on here, but now you have it

I like to think that the majority of people are basically honest; unless your dog showing is strictly a business, where's the pleasure, passion and thrill in a bent win?
