Tomorrow I will find out if I may return to work, & the results of my testing. And next Wednesday we should receive Kali's ashes. I am trying to find an alternative to a traditional urn. The vet tech at our vets gave us a brochure for a woman who creats gorgeous placques & pendants out of blown glass that actually contain & incorporate some of the ashy remains. The glass is beautiful, but rather pricey. The site is called "Love Ashes", in case anyone else is interested.
Again I thank you for your prayers & your concern. God bless you all! jackie & Carl harris

(For a while I carried my girl's leash with me while walking with my other dogs, as I could not bear to see it hanging on it's own). Dog Owners who have loved and lost, can understand the heart-break of others.
I found this poem, which hopefully will bring you some comfort.
May God Bless your lovely girl and keep her in His loving care.
With Love,
Vixen
PARTINGS AND GREETINGS
When on the eyes of dearest friends, the marble touch of death descends,
We see them in their last repose,
But when to us those eyelids close – they open somewhere to the light – the glory out beyond the night….
They wake where life’s dark journey ends – to other joys and past good friends – who stand before their opening eyes – while we are saying our goodbyes.
