About the CHIC cert for German Shepherd Dog.
Remember a CHIC does not necessarily mean the dog has passed these tests, it only means they were tested. The results are available on the OFFA.ORG website.
Hip Dysplasia ■OFA Evaluation
Elbow Dysplasia ■OFA Evaluation
Temperament Test ■Results of GSDCA Temperament test submitted to OFA
Congenital Cardiac Database (Optional) ■OFA Evaluation
Autoimmune thyroiditis (Optional) OFA evaluation from an approved laboratory - recommend yearly testing
Eye Clearance (Optional) ■CERF evaluation - recommend annually until age 6, every 2 years thereafter
Degenerative Myelopathy (Optional) ■DNA Based Degenerative Myelopathy test through UFL or the U of MO.

Anyone read the thread about SAS in the breed? Maybe a pre-breeding cardiac cert isn't such a bad idea after all.
