So unknown,

Please explain how the WDA dog teams competed last year's championship.
(with WDA scorebooks)

They don't..... The GSDCA sends members to the WUSV team......it's why WDA members that want to go to WUSV must also join GSDCA.

Frank

But what kind of score books did they have?

I'm a GSDCA/GSDCA-WDA member.  I have no problem doing IPO in this country or any other country or organization except UScA and the AWDF using my GSDCA/GSDCA-WDA score book for that matter.   I was in Germany with my dog this pass June at a SV Club and did a FH on my current dog under SV Judge Uwe Loch.   Here's where I stand,  I don't think GSDCA/GSDCA-WDA members should want or to go to UScA events.  I understand in some locations in the country their maybe little to no GSDCA-WDA clubs available and GSDCA-WDA member need to do titles and KKL's.  I think that our organization should provide trial for our members but our current policy does not make it mandatory for our clubs to have trials every year.   So only a small precentage of the clubs in our organization have trials each year,  if we make trials mandatory that would solve some of the problems that make our members need to enter UScA trials.  Members could also start a club.  I understand that's eazier said then done but I'm sure  some of the people that's trying to enter UScA trials train in some private groups.  But i also think that some of GSDCA-WDA members are trying to stradle the fence too.

I really hope UScA stand their ground and not let GSDCA-WDA member enter their trial with the current score book that we have and I hope each time it's done it's documented and sent to the WUSV/SV then maybe just maybe the WUSV/SV will grant this country and Sit Down and solve this problem because they are the only ones that can.  For the mean time,  I and my members at South Metro Atlanta Schutzhund Club and other GSDCA/GSDCA-WDA members (that's not trying to enter UScA trials) will continue having a good time doing IPO and other German stlye events in this country and other countries around the world using a score book that UScA don't reconize and laughing like hell at UScA members wondering how we do it!

Don't want to derail this thred but it has occurred to me to wonder:

with 2 WUSV  member clubs in the UK,  League and BAGSD, are
there or have there ever been similar problems with scorebooks
over here, anybody know ?

Wallace,

Some good thoughts on the subject. The WDA could very easily ask it's members and those wanting a WDA scorebook to support the WDA with their participation. Sure, it may not be the easiest place to trial, you may have to drive some distance to support another member club, but we need and appreciate your support. There would not be a reason to worry about what USCA does or does not do.

However that was not the path chosen.

The path chosen was to make a book and seek USCA acceptance. This book has been and is being represented as acceptable to USCA and the GSD community is being asked to purchase it even though the WDA throughout the ranks know this is not the case.

Latest development:

The WDA acknowledges the scorebook is not accepted by USCA but has assured me USCA has the information from them necessary to make the determination. I'll report back after the next step.

I did say the only way this is going to be resolved is for the WUSV/SV to solve it.  No matter what GSDCA-WDA do or say the UScA will (And I hope continue)  deny GSDCA-WDA members in their events.  I think most people are not looking at the reality and just hoping things will change..  My Basketball Coach would always say,
"If you crap in one hand and hope in the other and you put both hands together what do you get?"  Two hands full of crap!

Love that saying...........
Before the johanas amndment, we could join both clubs and enjoy the benefit of many trial and shows.

Wallas, you have several WDA clubs WITHIN 150 mile to choose from.......for us, our CLOSEST WDA club is over 250 miles...... The expense of travel and having only 2 trials a year.......maybe I should have just quit the WDA and switched to UScA?

BTW......
Just sent the required paperwork to the WDA to form a new club...atempting to have an affiliation event ASAP.
