All of your wishes and prayers and cheers and positive energy are so very appreciated! Well, I met my new best friend, the oncological surgeon. I will have surgery on August 29. That's as soon as they can manage. He looked at my biopsy, and my CTs & was able to show me exactly where my cancer is, & what it's doing. It's up to no good. So he will remove it & everything near it. It feels strange to give someone permission to carve you up. However, I have a dear friend that works with him,  & she assures me I'll be well taken care of. I will have to have chemo & radiation, afterward. I wish it were sooner, I'll be half crazy before the 29th!
Thanks again! Cracked pots unite! Regular Smile jackie harris

Jackie, I've been where you are. I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst in August, and couldn't get surgery until October! (There was a much lower chance of malignancy in my case, but still, the wait seemed ENDLESS!)

May the time go quickly, and, well there's always the chance of a cancellation, so you can get in sooner, right?

Jackie,
Waiting is always hard, and it gives one too much time to think and much trepidation. You have a huge support network, here, and we are all rooting for you, and obviouisly check in to see how you are doing. Will keep the thoughts and prayers going until you have posted you have beaten this! Tons of cyberhugz!

They are using that DaVinci robotic surgery thing, I got the sense that a lot of coordination between surgeon & site, etc. had to be accomplished. I'm not sure a cancellation will get me in sooner.im not a big fan of some of these trends, I got the distinct impression that the surgeon was  very enamoured of his techy toy, & less concerned about my welfare....***sigh*** my brother says get a second opinion. jackie harris

I think a second opinion is good advice.
