I love you Hans, but honestly, it does look a little thin to me in that picture, IMHO.  .  She says 22lbs at 17 wks, and from the picture it looks like she could be telling the truth about that part of it.

Maybe this pup does have EPI or something else is wrong.

Just as a comparison, a brother of same litter, beautiful pup btw!

Red Sable, you can ship that pup to me, I will even pay for shipping and a bonus for you to drive him to the airport.
Hanns, I guess it is put up or shut up, I had to sign in on the rip off site, I am doing so, and will defend your reputation.

Red Sable
I appreciate your concern but here is how I feel about it and not just me but there is a good science behind it too. According to a studies published in many places and I have found it in the book Canine hip dysplasia .....by Fred Lanting which I have already mentioned above,  it states in a study by Reiser WH et al. influence of early rapid growth and weight gain on hip dysplasia in German Shepherd Dog and originally publisher in J Am Vet  Med Assoc 1964 .

I quote:
"An experiment involving 222 GSD  showed a correlation between HD at one year and their weights at 60 days of age. The heavier pups at 2 months had higher incidences of HD.  On hundred of the puppies were dysplastic at one year and their mean weight at two months was 14 lbs , while the 112 diagnosed as normal at two months of age had a mean weight of 13 lbs. One pound less than average certainly doesn't sound like much, but that 4% difference was deemed significant by the researchers. Only about 1/3 of the dysplastic dogs were under the average weight and only 5 of the 122 normal dogs were over the average weight. Dysplastic males age ranged14.5 lbs. compared to "normal" males at 13.4 lbs. Dysplastic females were 13.8lbs. and normal females were 12.3 lbs. This doesn't mean that you 14.5 lb two month old pup is going to be dysplastic and your neighbors12.5 lb. pup is going to be normal, but it does point out an important idea: heavier pups have a significant tendency to become dysplastic and lighter pups, on the average, have more favorable odds of avoiding HD than the other group.
There are other studies but this should suffice for purpose of this post."

Pup was sold at 10 weeks and was well over 12 lb. As you can see from the article above that is comparable size. Especially considering that the pup came from litter of 13 pups and Jago is a smaller dog who produces smaller pups.

Also I would not give credence to what Sonia Berg says about the weight ( or anything else for that matter)  of this pup  because you can see on Ripoffreport .com that she  claims that the pup on July 3rd was 15 lb and then she says that on July 13th  weights 22 lb. This would men than in 10 days 15 lb pup  gained 7!!!lb.

please excuse my ignorance, but what does "EPI" stand for and how does that effect the GSD, or any dog for that matter.
