Follow the link this dog belongs to me you will be hard pressed to find any holes in his Pedigree. I paid $3000.00 at 8 weeks old vested another 2000 hours of training only to end up with a GSD that suffers from Grand Mal sezures he has to be medicaded twice a day for the rest of his lfe and can no longer work. My point being pedigree and titles and hips are not all there is to breeding I have been researching this pedigree now to try and find an answer as to why this breeding had issues. I say this because I have found other dogs from this pairing that suffer from sezures also.

And incase anyone is wondering I informed the breeder of the situation and his answer was there in no genetic link so as far as he is concerned breeding this animal is ok. I disagree the dog is to be neutered what ever the problem is it will not be perpetuated from Savitch K9

blitzen how old would you like to see them in a breeding program? My oldest dog is 11 not on my site because he is not part of the program I have had GSD live past 14. The pic in the avatar is a sketch and was a gift.

If I'm going to be told by a WL breeder that my dogs are responsible for the ruination of the breed, I would at least like to be told that by someone who adheres to a breeding system greater or at least equal to the one I adhere to. I'm not impressed by a SchH title alone, either. Far from it, in fact. But if schutzhund is such a weak and mediocre breed test, it should be ridiculously easy for such a genetically superior dog to obtain, yes? Additionally, it should be no problem at all to take five minutes to post said dogs' hip and elbow scores.

I wonder, is it ego or kennel blindness that convinces a breeder that the standards in place for decades are not necessary for them, that they surely must know better what is best for the breed, they need not present their dogs, in anatomy or especially in work, before an unbiased expert for evaluation, that they themselves have all the expertise necessary?

I'll remember that next time I'm dragging my lazy self out of bed at the crack of dawn to go tracking, spend my whole day off and half a tank of gas driving to a decoy, or dragging my fat, pregnant self around a schutzhund field this summer so I can title then breed my dog that I simply wasting my time, the judge knows nothing, my dogs are garbage, I should leave the breed in the hands of the real experts who don't need a measly breed standard.

Blitzen, I'm going to say what I'm about to say because of your accusing me of, putting it simply, hating SLs. First, I don't hate them, I hate what has happened to them caused by attitudes seen in posts on these threads: Deny and defend what is going on in the line. Second, it seems that there is a lot of scrutinizing to the point of acting like gestapo regarding websites .. all for hopefully discrediting some one with working dogs. If there is indeed only one gsd, then it seems that a germanshepherd is a germanshepherd is a..... You get the point? Why then, would it matter whether it's a pic of a SL or a WL. Seems you have more issue with working dogs than is reasonable for someone who points a finger at anyone who is not on your bandwagon.

Breed Standard you forgot the first and most important part, Character or the inner core of the dog. What do you have to offer there.

And also if you are not impressed with shutz titles then please elaborate on how you test your dogs

Schutzhund is, in my opinion, the minimum assessment for character. From there, it's a breeder's responsibility to weed through dogs who only technically qualify, identify who truly does, and which dogs possess the traits the breeder desires for their program. I saw your ad for $1500-$2500 pups from what appears, on the PDB, to be untitled dogs. Couldn't find hip ratings, either, when I searched OFA and the SV site. Have you not entered the information yet, here or on your website? Perhaps I made a mistake when I looked on the sites? Surely a breeder striving to produce quality working dogs would not overlook such a basic health screening.

I see you can not answer my questions you wish to continually question me. All my dogs have prelims done at around 12 months 95% of issues show by then the one that show later are enviormental issues. I do not title my dogs The trial does not resemble what was set fourt by the SV back in the early 1900s it has been watered down to accomodate the avg dog.

I have answered everyones questions why dont you answer mine.
