That certain person happens to be a NASTY person, she deserves all she gets.

If she didn't come on here and other forums slagging all the breeders off, then she wouldn't get a personal attack she has made personal attacks on plenty of people.

We are still waiting by the way georgehopwood......................................

Carole, I know but to hear hopwood tell it her dog is in a terrible state! From what I've heard she and wildmoor got quite nasty with both the owner of the bitch and the stud owner (not sure of the facts though). Lord knows how she would cope with a dog with a high score. I've got 2 with truely awful scores ( in the sxties) and they are doing quite well at the moment, although my lad does bunny hop and he cant run much he's a happy chappy .

I suggest you get your facts straight rather than listening to gossip, I have never been in contact with the bitches owner, the only contact I have had with the stud dog owner was years ago when she contacted me.
If you have anything to say I suggest you phone or email me and identify yourself, before making assumptions

Wildmoor

I think you will find I did say "from what I've heard" and "not sure of the facts though"

At no time did I state "facts"

And I made that post  on 23rd July so it's taken you 10 days to get on your high horse about it!

After much discussion, Marilyn did decide to take her dog to an independant vet and get the hips checked under the BVA scoring system.  I talked with the breeder, who was more than willing to meet and discuss with Marilyn a way of helping her out if the dog had HD.

I can confirm today that the dogs hip score sheet is back and with Marilyn, and he has a total score of 12.  Not only 12, but 6 : 6 so totally even score too.

Marilyn is more than shocked having been told that the same dog two months before was in line for both hip replacement ops due to chronic and degenerating hip dysplasia.

It is only fair to publish this now, as Marilyn named Balko as being the sire of a chronically poor hip status puppy.

I would hope that Marilyn comes on here with an apology for the owners of the dog she was so willing to condemn without knowing all the facts that is the problem with this data base so many lies and back stabbing that it is now used more by them than anything, it is no longer a forum for the gsd just a shit stirring forum such a shame

Yes Jim,

Marilyn realises the mistake that she made, and it did take a bit of convincing for her to have the hips scored because she believed her vet whole-heartedly.  I am sure that when she is back, she will come on board - but for now, I just wanted to let everyone know as quickly as possible to clear this dogs name, and the people who she bought the puppy from, as it was all looking a bit grim in the beginning.    Mo.

thanks Mo for coming back on this thread and giving this information.i,m so happy for Marilyn and the pup.i just wish that vets would keep their mouths shut and not try to read the plates themselves.they should just be advising their clients to send the plates to the BVA to be read and scored.far too many are putting the fear into the dogs owners and this is the outcome.i too if i didnt know better would probably have jumped to the same conclusion as Marilyn did as its only human nature.Did the vet actually x ray the pups hips when he originally made this statement.Just think ,if Marilyn had not come on this board and tell us about it,she would have incurred a very large vet bill for an unnecessary major operation and the trauma this pup would have had to endure.i,ve had 2 occasions with a vet i used for Hip scoring in the early 90,s.said a male,s hips look bad(score 5-3)and a females were excellent(8-8).this is the practice which has recently advised an owner of one of Katrina Stevens puppy of 14weeks that it could need an op.to remove puppy teeth as they May grow into the roof of the mouth.Needless to say the owner phoned Katrina up for advise, and she has now decided to find another vet and i think she has written to the RCVS.Carole S.

I've never understood why when there is a potential problem with a pup it's always 100% the Sire's fault, there's also a Dam in the equation.
