Blitzen, there's that Troll again, disliking your last post.

Hey, you out there:  WHY ?  What on earth did Blitzen
say that you could possibly "dislike", or even disagree
with ?  It's a purely factual statement.  Are you nutz, or
what ?

by Gustav on 09 August 2013 - 15:08

Blitzen, when I read posts that tell you only the negative aspects of one way or another ....what are they trying to do? Explain it for me since you get it and I don't!

by Gustav on 09 August 2013 - 15:08

On second thought Blitzen, disregard my question........I don't need an answer. Thanks!

I guess every top breeder/ trainer/enthusiasts that has kennels and the dogs dont sleep in there house are mistreating there dogs!  and their dogs are going to die or not get medical attention or have some psychological disorder.
This is plainly BS

Some people will always want dogs inside other will like them outside.  And some of us like myself have dogs inside and out. Its up to the owner and what they do for there dog to provide safety, medical attention, training, grooming, diet, water, appropriate shelter, etc......

by Gustav on 09 August 2013 - 15:08

Samael28 how did you come to that conclusion also, people have only posted pros for one way or the otherWondering.

Gustav,

Well it seems that people have this conception that people that have outside dogs run high risks of having said issues as dogs cant get medical care or have socialization issues, or run high risks of having other issues. As it was stated by multiple people on here.

people seem to wish to twist every statement to favor there cause or paint a picture of abuse to help further there statements.

Such as saying im like a 60's football coach. Just because I prefer to acclimate my dogs to  the elements with dogs outside. I never stated my dogs sat in a kennel doing nothing all day. though that person seems to try to make that appear to be the case.

Also evidentially there are no ways to reduce the risk of bloat. and im an idiot for thinking so.

Also evidentially adequate kennel construction equals building a bunker.

on and on--

So it was basically a personal attack filled with false personal insults  to paint a picture that my dogs have suffered and or are suffering. Do to this person simply wanting to say dogs should be indoors.

There is NO scientific evidence that a dog that sleeps outdoors with have issues. just like there is none that says a dog that sleeps inside will not have issues. so it basically is up to the owner to provide for the dog. that is what dictates every single statement that has been made to argue this point. When someone can make an actual con to a dog sleeping outdoors i would be more than happy to listen however I have yet to see one.

And though I agree with some of the statements made by that person, the way they were portrayed is deplorable! However it doesnt really matter. Im gonna go work my dogs instead of talk about it. have a nice day all.

The truth of the matter is that some people treat there dogs as if they are children and they have called them there fur babies in past posts, DOGS are not humans they are animals of an entirely different spieces and they do not need or ask a great deal from us humans? all they want is to be looked after in a proper way, given excersise regularly, Fed properly, and interact with us humans for part of there day, The rest of the time they need to do what dogs do lie in a shady spot when the weather is warm and laze about, and breath in the fresh air that was meant for all living things? Then you will have a happy contented dog, It does not take a brainy person to see that. There is no case for inside or out it is the preference of the owner and at times the circumtances of where they live Its that simple folks so do not go making a crisis out of this thread

Not long been back from training at the club it is now midnight over here and i guess there is one happy dog asleep in her outdoor kennel after doing a nice bit of obedinence work and protection

I have a different take on what was said here. I thought the posts were meant to be  pros and cons of both ways of keeping dogs and not condemnations of either. There have been just as many "negative" remarks in this thread regarding people who keep their dogs inside as vice versa, haven't there?

I've had both and, as I've already said, I can't say I saw any difference in their temperaments, health, attitude or longevity. Other than wondering if my dog that died from bloat may have been saved if he were inside and I would have been able to get him to a vet in time. In that respect I think a house dog many have an advantage over a kennel/outside dog.

Personally I don't care for breeders either, dog's kept in kennels for the purpose of reproduction are never given the chance at a full life.
Breed something fine, just don't turn it into a business and tell me your dogs are well cared for, it's more than food and a vet visit.

A dog should spend more time free (working, playing, training, just being a dog) than contained, outside, not in.

My dog is a house dog . .he gets plenty of time alone, when he wants to be alone and chill, he goes into an empty room with or without a toy.  But he really seems to enjoy being part of our daily routine.  His job is to protect us, and he can perform that job better when he's in the house.  He was in the house with me last summer when the house caught fire . . I did not pay attention to the fire alarm, assuming it was malfunctioning, because I could not initially see or smell anything amiss.  But my dogk new better and insisted that something was WRONG.  He saved my life because he was inside with me.
