Shtal

Judging from the fact I don't like when someone say stuff like this to me ------>Yeah thanks, fella, I needed a bunch more rescue dogs.

That is why I get upset, if someone think diffrently about oversize GSD, should respond more nice, usually when I open any topic I never say anything that will hurt their feelings unless someone starts first with trash talk. That is why I said forget it and I deleted all of my posts.

I learned very important thing for the future, never brag about your dogs because their is some people that will eat you alive, because your dog don't meet standard specifications of GSD. Most people who would like to have an oversize pet in my area only as a personal pet and as a guard dog at their house, they will not take an oversize dog to compete for any title - because they don't care, they simple want giant GSD as a pet.

If I really want to compete for the real challage I will take my 10 month female, she honestly has way to much energy, she usually almost never get tired or running and playing, she simply is to much, that type of energy she possess.
But she obey me from one word, most of the time I only has to say ones and she does what I say.

But If I realy wanted to prove my 10 month giant will compete for any title - I could, but I really don't care. Because I simply wanted Giant GSD as a pet.

And I simply wanted to say sorry to VomMarischal that we said bad things to each other, good luck and take care.
oversize often causes severely sawyed backs such as this:
Thanks:)

This person brought intersting point - so I wanted to know, and you have an issue with that?

your dog's expression just cracks me up! I'm guessing that's why it's your avatar!

Yes, the "puffy lips" thing always makes me smile VomMarischal.  He only does it when he's thinking about something really hard, like a human sticking their tongue out of the corner of their mouth.  In this case he was practicing a stay 5 m out from me and my friend (who took the picture) said his name to get his attention.  He knew he wasn't supposed to move...but!  But!  People who don't know GSDs don't credit that they can be really goofy -- here's my proof!

But If I realy wanted to prove my 10 month giant will compete for any title - I could, but I really don't care. Because I simply wanted Giant GSD as a pet.

Then why do you start a thread essentially forcing the topic onto the supposed advantages of an oversize GSD?  If you don't work or title the dog you have no evidence whether or not he can do the work other than a bunch of baseless bragging.  That's the reason people were jumping down your throat --  not the fact that you said "here's my Giant GSD, I love him, he's a great pet".  The answer to that is "he's a nice dog, glad you're happy with him".

I am impressed that you apologized to VomMarishal, though. And hopefully you've learned that calling people Nazis (unless they actually *are* neo-Nazis) is a really quick way to lose an argument.   Disagreeing with you also isn't automatically based in jealousy.  Speaking personally I don't want an oversized dog, but if I did want one they're not hard to find.  There's a "King" shepherd up for adoption right now, free to a good home that my local rescue just called to see if I would take.  I can't see my way to doing as much training as he'll need (he's practically feral) so I said no.  So much for "rare" and "special" -- if the rescue can't find him a home he'll be destroyed, because the owners are moving and don't want to take him, and his "breeder" is the sort that won't take the dog back.  That's why people get testy when you talk so glibly about breeding GSDs to buyer's specifications if it's not based on the standard or on working ability.  The "pet" market tends to be fickle, and there are enough unwanted dogs as it is.

Face the fact that I still believe Giant German Shepherd has an advantage, he may not be as quick and fast as standard size German Shepherd, but I still believe he has a good chance of trying to compete; not all Giant German Shepherds are equal.

Germany made a good GSD, but people had modify what Germany made, face the fact - how upset you could be, I did not modify GSD, I simply have one. And since people request that they would like have the Giant, I simply will breed for the people who would like to have one.

Like I said before I will have few other standard size males to continue supporting what germany created by breeding standard size GSD. And at the same time I will breed Giant, whatever people will request from me I will let them have it.

And the reason I apologize - simply because I don't want to live my life and thinking what I said before to someone, I simply don't want to have hard-feeling from anybody against me. That's who I ' am.

And since people hate the Giant size GSD's, I will no longer post my Giant here.

You can keep believing that, but until you furnish proof -- work or sport -- no one is going to believe *you*.  When you're honest you admit that you have no intention of working your dog, so he's never going to be put to the test is he?  So you boasting about how advantageous excessive size is is a bunch of pointless noise.  Does your dog have any training at all?  I'm not talking about advanced sport, but basic skills like answering to his name, sit, stay, come, drop it, walking on a loose leash, etc.  If you're not training the basics and socializing the dogs (with unfamiliar dogs, people, animals, machinery, etc.) then you don't even know if your dogs have the temperament to be bred as pets, much less if they're good for anything else.

And since people hate the Giant size GSD's, I will no longer post my Giant here.

No hate on my part because they're just dogs, but thank you for not wasting my time with further inane topics.

My dog does know basic commands - for the most part just fine.

I don't have a problem posting - is just as soon I start talking about breeding, then their is a problem with some people.

And you simple don't have to worry about me but instead ignore me and it will be much easy for you!!

I had no reasoning to cause trouble, I simply wanted to hear what people think about the Giant Size.

But since VomMarischal open his/her mouth saying Yeah thanks, fella, I needed a bunch more rescue dogs.
It made me upset, this caused me going in wrong direction with this topic.

One last thing, when I was sharing my dog here originally, I never mention to compete, but since people automatically started talking about Giant Dog cannot compete, so I started talking logically about NO it's possible for the Giant as well. It was not here originally with this tread topic though.

Good luck!

"this person brought intersting point - so I wanted to know, and you have an issue with that?"

Shtal, you wished me good luck.  I was wishing you good luck in return ("Back atcha"). I hope you title your dogs, and I hope the puppies find great homes.

I suspect that we have a poor communication line. I do wish you the best of luck. I also hope you learn a lot reading this board, and I'm not talking about stuff I write.
