the worry is over for a while, now the work begins........congradulations. Have fun for the short time that they will be with you. I'm sure you've found good people to love them and train them already.

I give monthly updates to the people that sold me my puppies, they seem to enjoy seeing and reading about their progress.

So sorry to hear that you lost a male pup :-(

It is funny that she had 7 female's and 1 male, b/c my Anka had 7 male's and 1 female :-)  and she also started having pups on a Saturday night into Sunday morning (they had them on 2 different day's). They sound too similar. Congratulations!!! can't wait to see those photo's!!!

Congrats Moons...

My pup was born a week ago... turns out I'm getting a black male... had hoped for sable. This will be the first black baby for me. I'm looking forward to Ikon's arrival and watching him grow. (V Xito von der Maineiche, Ufo van Guy's Hof, Tiekerhook, SG Alk von Osterburg Quell).

I have owned one other black.  AMAZING gal, was a Bernd V. Kallengarden grandaughter. Lovely deep body, great head, temperment like mad.   Could jump straight up in the air and have her head above a 6' fence... but had 4th degree Dysplasia!! Talk about feeling sick!  There were no heads on either side basically and almost no sockets.  I placed her, and at 7 she still had never taken a lame step... but you should have seen the muscle on her back end.  (she was never bred btw).

Hope you were looking for a girl in your litter... I SWEAR that the mamma's always throw the opposite of what you're waiting for with baited breath!.

That's great news Moons!

You have a bunch of girls to choose from, take your sweet time deciding, it will be very confusing!

Sorry to hear about the little guy.......

I ended up with 5 boys & 3 girls, I lost 2 girl pups, one still born & the other the vet tech took home, but not till after 3 days

did I notice she was not gaining any weight, she passed quick, the vet tech told me if I had any more pups like that she would take them home & help perk them up again, she has saved many pups for people, she has a gift with the newborn pups that need that extra boost, she's a God-send.

Hoping everything goes smooth for you & your brood

I have an all black boy & girl, I won't need to mark them, you on the other hand, just might run out of colors!

I hope you get to keep one this time moons . It's nice to get pick of the litter .LOL . The last ones were real nice lookers . Are all of the pups solid black ? And why do I see the  owner edit line on everyones posts . I will see if I can edit anyones post .

Not sure what's up with the edits wuzzup but I tried to edit yours and my reply came up so I guess it recognizes the owner.  Did you come up with the same thing when you tried to edit someone else's post?

Two Moons

I will have eight weeks to study them, its never hard for me to see the one who stands out above the rest.
They are black, some are solid and some have their sires tiny white mark on the chest.   I haven't looked that closely yet,  I never bother them too much in the first week.   Makes mom nervous.
I have decided I do not like summer litters as much as winter litters, its hot and muggy and I can tell moms not as comfortable this time.  And there are the ticks and mosquitoes to contend with now.     Live and learn I guess, I haven't had a litter in the summer for a very long time, and it was not here where I live now.
They are doing well tho, growing and gaining weight but moms appetite seems off, I think again its the heat.
By the weekend I will begin handling them and looking them over more carefully, take some pictures.
