Moons, time to cough up those photos. Im tired of wating. Ha I do have to say I learned something on repeat breedings that the sex count is not regular, and this week I learned that ovaluation can change from one heat to the next.

Moons I think what ever season you and your dog picks , Its always a challenge and hard work .  Just Little  a difference in the problems and challenges to keep all well and healthy .

There could be many reasons for the variation in sex ratios, it was a minor surprise
The change of season tho offers the biggest surprise, Midnite is doing everything differently.
Too much to explain, just something I noticed right away.
Biggest concern is mosquitoes, ticks, and possibly parasites.  Winter has that beat all to hell over summer.
Two pups have already wandered out of the dog house, that never happened in winter.
They lay spread out instead of in a huddle and Midnite digs up fresh soil and pushes out the straw.
Oh well, I got a thunderstorm coming in...gotta get off line.
Later.

Hi Moons,

I have heard people remark about how many boys or girls end up in a litter,

from what I can decipher........breed early you get girls........breed later into a heat cycle you get boys.....

For what it's worth...............

Hope all is well with you & yours!

And pictures!   Pictures!!   Pictures!!!

mirasmom,
I have heard that, I even heard similar explainations about  sex of human babies.
One sperm lives longer than another sorta thing.
It could be true.
Moons.

I'm not sure about that, only b/c I bred Anka when she was ready and she had 7 male's and 1 female. It wasn't a late breeding either. I have also heard if the female's look ragid tired out that they are carrying male's and visa versa with female's. Who really knows why it is what it is. When are we going to be able to see some picture's Moons!!!
