I looooooooooooove Dux....when I was looking at an Estahaus puppy and I saw him, I wondered why they never finished him.

HE is the kind of dog I've been looking for in America, and have not found

*sighs* Of course.  Too bad.  I saw some very nice dogs while I was over in Europe...VERY nice.  But I certainly didn't get to do tours and shows while I was over there.

I don't have the money to go back, nor buy another dog currently, but I certainly haven't found dogs like Dux in the states.  Of course not, they keep the good ones over there.

Xeph, many people go there and choose dogs from AKC back ground, even AKC judges.

And none of them can choose this kind of dog. No one else that I have ever met. But this guy does it year after year.

And please, don't take this as any kind of endorsement, it is not. Only an example of what is available for the AKC folks in Europe, if they have the talent to choose it. Like I said, so far no one I know of even comes close.

Believe me, I know...and if I thought Bill was honest, well, I would have bought a puppy from him awhile ago.

July9000,
There is no need for me to give you a resume. I am not in the show ring and have not since 1975. But I know dogs and I know German shepherds backwards and forwards. Maybe not to you, but I will let my posts speak for me. I'm sure if you canvas the people who know me on this site or in person they will attest to my knowledge of the breed. Primarily from a working perspective,(it is a working/herding breed isn't it), but I KNOW the breed well. So if you can't ascertain that in my posts, I certainly wouldn't respond to them. I deal in facts primarily and if you want to call me on my opinions and "support" them with facts, then go right ahead. Peace!

Xeph, I did not say that , I did not imply that and I cringe that I open the door for that.

Please erase that statement.

I know it is hard for you to believe, but maybe my personality does not mesh with every other personality out there.

This is all, nothing more. That is an absolutely stupid thing to say without evidence.

Hummm..What a beauty this Dux..He has one fault..He is not in my house LOL!! Always liked the arminius type dogs..

I am not close minded Rik..show me a good dog and I will acknoledge it wheter it is german, american, croatian or any an!!

In fact whenever there is a german type doing good in a specialty ring..I'm the first to look at it ( and applaud) to see if I could use it in my breeding program( to reinforce prey drive, nerves and working ability).  My first GSD was a working dog, square and not too well built, but one of the most incredible animal I had the pleasure to live with..In my eyes he was a true beauty too, but I could see he had nothing the standard calls for (stucturally speaking) he had everything the standard calls for regarding working ability..

Do you know if he has any progeny (don't see it on this database)? He is 6 years old..by now he should have..

Best

Julie
