To me they all look like mongrels . If you actually want to see Shepherds with lots of white on their chests and faces, i suggest you look back in Shepherd history and look at some of the dogs from the  Rozavel, and Kentwood kennels, better still get hold of one of the Malcolm Willis books on Genetics, there you will find lots of information regarding the causes of various anomalies that occur in breeding GSDs.

Yes, I know.... but not all of them that are called "panda" shepherds look to have the build of a German Shepherd. Take Hamza's last photo. I don't think the outline looks anything like a German Shepherd save for maybe the pointy ears, which the canaan dog also has.

I have seen a few Iraqi desert dogs that look very similar to what I believe looks like there is some canaan dog and German Shepherd in the mix, and they look strikingly similar to the "panda"

Just my .02

To me the only one that resembles a GSD is the second pic...regardless, they are ugly and should be considered a fault not to be bred for.  UGH!

It is comparing the structure and color of a GSD to a dog that is supposed to be a GSD. How is that not supposed to be here? We were having a meaningful discussion here, and if you don't like it, don't read it and deffinately don't reply. The poster is very young and wants to learn.

IMO the "panda" GSD is a mixed  breed dog.  I always thought maybe aussie or cattle dog, canaan dog?  whatever - something other than GSD got over the fence with that one.

July9000 did  someone force you to click on the question or are you the forum police....this is why so many people just quit or dont even bother asking questions.   I figured I'd give you guys another reason to slam me....at least you are giving someone else a break when you slam me!!

I think it should be registered as a "variety" in the Shiloh registry. The breeding and obvious closeness to the GSD standard put me very much in mind of the Shiloh.

Has anyone yet tried to cross this dog with a malamute. Would that not create the perfect antidote to the active GSD. A big lazy dog with a white face. Hmmm, I think this will work. Sucker born every minute, so no problem selling puppies.

I like this idea very much. Sorry, must go to work more on my business model.
