I recall someone on this board having a litter that had one panda pup in it. The rest were normal looking GSDs. I think the parents were both working line GSDs, but I'm not certain.  I tried to find the thread, but wasn't successful.

I don't know whether they are mixed breeds or not, but I know my Jena (who came from a well-known show kennel in Germany) had some white on her chest and a few white toes. It almost all went away as she got older. I was concerned I may not be able to show her. From what I was told here when I posted about it, it is not a severe fault, as it was just a little white.

It may sound heartless, cruel, insensitive, wrong, whatever, but if I were to end up with a dog with as much white in a litter I bred, no matter how wonderful the pedigree, no matter how awesome the parents were, I would immediately cull it. There are just too many bad representatives of the breed. My opinion on  a "new breed" ?
I think there are plenty of breeds as it is  :)

If the pup appears to be perfectly normal save for being mismarked, why on earth kill (cull) it?  Agree that there's no justification in breeding it, so it should be sterilized when old enough, but it shouldn't have to die just because it had the misfortune to get a bad hand when the genetic cards were dealt...

Unless, of course, the whole point of culling it immediately would to hide the fact that one had a mismarked pup in one's breeding?

Incavale has been commendably open and up-front about the 'panda' pup that turned up in their recent litter; unfortunately the owners of the stud dog are unwilling to have the pup's parentage validated via DNA testing, so there will always be those who will swear that the pup in question isn't purebred...

hexe you will never understand,

and vomruiz, i agree with you, but i do think that there are 2 breeds which should be rcognised by the kennel club, and compete in their conformation shows. These 2 breeds are the dog argentino, and the shiloh shepherd
