Sorry Michele,  things are on hold right now.  My nephew with Leukemia has taken a turn for the worse in the past few days..  I will get some hopefully this weekend.  I am just trying to keep my head above water with all this.
The good news is my Mom is now officially retired and will be headed to Reno tomorrow to be with my sister..  Today was her last day, we just wish it were a happier time.

Sorry to hear about your nephew Kim.  Leukemia sucks big time.  I lost a very young cousin to it about 20 years ago.and the pain still burns.  Good luck to your family and my thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.

Thank you Deb.  He is only 15 and was diagnosed last month (Nov 9th)  He was doing fantastic till last Thur.  Then he spiked a fever and we have been going downhill every since.  He ended up having a seizure yesterday that lasted about an hour and then has had neurological issues ever since.  He can not speak and has lost a lot of motor skills.  Childrens Hospital in Oakland sent a specialist up today to review all of his tests(MRI's and Cat scans) and the specialist seems to think his skills will come back.  We are hopeful, but this evening because he is so agitated and upset, the intubated him and are putting him into a drug induced coma.
Those of you that beleive,  please pray for my nephew.  His name is Andrew.
Sorry if I depressed anyone around the holidays..  I didnt really mean to turn this into a depressing post.  I guess I needed to let it out.

Thanks
KIM

He'll be in my prayers Kim.  Cliffy was only 8 when we lost him.  His 4 year old cousin volunteered to be a bone marrow donor even though his mom tried to talk him out of it...she didn't think he knew what was involved but he didn't care.  He was going to save Cliffy.  Unfortunately it didn't do the trick.  Sounds like Andrew is having a real rough go of it.  It's hard on those of us left behind but sometimes it best if we just let them slip peacefully away.  Sooner or later we have to say goodbye even if we are not ready.  It really sucks to lose a child.  My thoughts are with your sister.

Thanks guys for all the well wishes.  We had some good improvement today.  They did not end up Intubating him as they were able to finally get him to relax and sleep.  He woke this morning to having better motor skills and speech.  It should improve daily, or so they say.

Here are a few pictures of the pups I still have.
