good idea Sue, maybe someone could set up and administor a paypal account then we could contribute online? would suggest the breed council or GSD League administor this maybe through their websites.

 Cracking idea you can have £50 from me to Sue and a paypal account would make it much easier for all to contribute

Will contact the GSDP as they were supposed to be getting their own website up and running and perhaps
this is where the PayPal account (if there is to be one) should be placed.
 
Anyone not with a PayPal account and like myself who doesnt want one, could pay via cheque markde the GSDP Fighting Fund and an account be opened to this effect (or something like that).

For those of you who may be wondering what the GSDP have been doing during this time, well I can tell you that Joe has been away on business in Cairo for the past two weeks, but has been keeping abreast with developments and spent nearly two hours on the phone to me this morning making sure he keeps getting the full picture of how things are going here. That is the kind of committment and dedication this GSDP has been prepared to give, whilst the KC think it is ok to just cast them aside like a discarded sweet wrapper.

I truly hope the GSD Community do come together on this one and show the KC that we are not prepared to lie down whilst they trample all over us and our breed.

Sadly no word again from the top 4 kennels-self interest springs to mind.
I will double whatever they each offer.

Hi All, we are totally disgusted with what the Kennel Club are doing to our Breed, they have no right to impose these ridiculous rules on to a single breed.  Our feeling is that their underlying plan is that if they can bully one of the breeds with one the largest registration statistics in the KC then they think that all the other Breeds will tow the line if they decide to every get round to warning them about their problems.  I do not think they have bargained for the strength of feeling in this Country against their plans.

Personally, we will be asking our Member Club what they plan to do about this matter.  Every registered GSD Club must approach their members by whatever means necessary be it e-mail, phone, post or pidgeon post if necessary and get a solid vote one way or the other on what their members wish to do, only then can the message be passed back to the Partnership or the Breed Council and then onto the KC.  In our opinion any Club that makes a decision either way without their members approval is doomed.  We will personally vote against bowing down to the KC and vote for a complete breakaway, it is the only path we can take now.

The UK Kennel Club is a disgrace to this Breed and are guilty of bullying, blackmail and discrimination in singling out one Breed for this kind of treatment and it has to be breaking the rules of its own Constitution by doing this.

Apart from legal action against them en masse, every person and Club who is against their dictatorial methods should put their thoughts in writing and swamp them with letters, faxes and e-mails plus approach their MPs, MSP and any other persons they think may be of help in this horrendous situation.

The time has come to implement PLAN B - this Breed is strong enough in this Country to go it alone and I am sure all the other Countries who support the true GSD will back us wholeheartedly.

I believe that trying to take a legal stance against the KC may be the worst thing to do and to spend or waste so much money would be a real shame, when it could be put to better use in starting up an Independent Registration System and UK Club in its own right.  Why waste your time and effort on a NON-CARE INSTITUTION, rather spend it on the Breed you love.

It won't be long before we see who has the balls to turn around and walk away from the KC, they are NOT THE LAW in this Country and there is no way they can stop a New System being set up and with enough support and effort from those who believe the time has come for change it can be done.

Here's to a brighter future than we have now!!
