I'm sure nobody is pressing in the dogs rear, he has a short second thigh and has been overstretched to drop his croup down, but it has emphasised his cow hocks.

they obviously uploaded the wrong picture for the ad. (or else it was left over from another - who knows) the dog in the pic is definately not a 13 month old!  i went to their website to see if they had other pics and found dillan to be a fine looking younster.  check it out.

His tail is also abnormal, too thin.

I do not like the angulation in the showlines. This is not a functional dog.  Showlines are breeding disabled dogs these days.

this dog definitely looks much older than 13 months.my thoughts were that it might have DM(what we in the uk used to call CDRM).i,ve had 2 males suffer from this condition in their old age(GUS AT 8 and Archie at 10/11)and they used to stand like that.its as if having their hocks touching helped to steady them.the dog appears to be swaying and nearly falling over but this is imo.

GSDRule:

I so agree with you. Much is blamed on the stack , good and bad, which may or not be the real cause of some apparent conformation issues, or indeed may disguise them.  Get rid of the stack and see the real dog!  Von Stephanitz himself said that the GSD should stand naturally to be judged. I did not actually know this, but have seen his direction for how a dog should be shown and stacking is an absolute NO.
