I've just watched it... Baldwin was clearly primed by the KC... she'd still be calling them Alsatians; such is her vast knowledge.
I hope all you "signers" are feeling uncomfortable. This is our breed you've been trying to sign away!

Blanik, strange indeed to measure (?) tails... pulling them through the dogs back legs up towards its' loin... maybe he'd been watching the Borzoi judge? Oh and the bitch he placed 2nd, never having checked the teeth, because he couldn't!

I have just been informed by the owner of a GSD puppy entered in a "display team" at CRUFTS yesterday, that she was approached by a KC official and ordered to remove it from the team, as the Vet considered it 'unsound' and the KC does not wish to promote such GSD to the general public. The owner is in her 70's and has dedicated her life to GSD and her life's pleasure is training and gaining KC Good Citizen awards with her GSD.
I will be circulating a letter from the owner when I receive it.
It is now certainly the time for all of us to "take the gloves off"
We should now demand that our "leadership" get off their backsides and strongly lead us to a much better future here in the UK for our Germanic - international GSD.
I am ABSOLUTELY certain the WUSV/SV will be fully supportive., as will the international GSD community. However we have to clearly demonstrate UNITY and DETERMINATION.

caroline kisko to me that she prefers the level backed german shepherds and her husband confessed that they have 2 white german shepherds at home!

Carols dog looked lovely, both in the ring and on the live link. He was obviously not going to do any good under Robin Searle, the group judge who is an Alsatianist, but he did his bit. This needs the strongest possible complaint from Carol - her dog has been slandered.

I did watch the KC have Claire Baldwin suddenly become an expert on the conformation and movement of the Gsd. I have just posted a question to the programme asking them to ask Mrs Kisko from the KC if they are so concerned about the Gsd's health why they ignore the Gsd Breed Council requesting they stop accepting registrations from none heath tested parents and those that have been tested but have horrendous scores.
No doubt it will not even make the web site let alone the show but here is the link if anyone else would like to leave a comment.

gsm44 I agree with you but lets face it, there is more possible chance of you plaiting fog than the possibility of any of the Crufts winners sending back their over valued Crufts prize wins in protest of the way the KC dealt with our Breed Winner in the TV Programmed Interview. The question and comment given by Baldwin was obviously staged, I dont believe for one minute she would have said such a thing off her own back without previously being prompted to do so by the KC. One only had to note how completely unphased this comment had on Caroline Cisko and just how quickly and calmly she responded to it to realise it was NOT a PRE-EMPTIVE STRIKE!! No, you can bet your bottom dollar that this whole interview was totally staged and had been rehearsed to death !!! Remember my once bitten twice shy comments, well the KC had been well and truly bitten by Jemima and PDE, they might be morons but they arent stupid, they were not likely to allow themselves to be put on the spot again and fall foul of another TV interviewer. No Sirreee.
As I said earlier, why anyone who truly loves our breed would have wanted to PUT MONEY INTO KC COFFERS by entering CRUFTS this year anyway is beyond me. I can see that those who agree with signing the KC Undertaking would be there, but those who dont? Why did they feel the need to be there? I too feel sorry for Carol and her dog, but what did they expect?
It's one thing going to a KC show run by a breed club and being prepared to accept and expect no double handling along with all the other things related to this KC Undertaking but to actually go to the Kennel Clubs OWN show and expect fair treatment to any GSD of Correct Type is naive of you to say the least. Will be even more revealing to note who attends Crufts from next year onwards. Is a win a Crufts that important to you that you are happy to put money into KC coffers? No wonder the KC Hierachy continually treat us like they do, sometimes I think some of us actually deserve the contempt they dish out, honestly, are so many of our exhibitors really that naive to think the KC would play fair just because you paid your hard earned money out to them when you entered your GSD at Crufts?
I mainly feel sorry for the Judge, because non of this current Political Climate Shit even existed when he was originally offered and / or accepted his Crufts appointment. What we ALL need to realise now is that NON of us, our Clubs or our Dogs are beyond the KC's crucifix and that would probably even go for the Lord our Shepherd himself !!

sue,i believe that most entered out of respect for the judge,who did send forward an animal correct to the standard.are yu stating that yu WILL NOT BE ENTERING ANY CHAMP SHOWS THIS YEAR THEN WHICH ARE BEING HELD UNDER KC RULES,AND THAT INCLUDES ALL THE GERMAN BREED CLUB CHAMP SHOWS WHETHER THEY HAVE SIGNED OR NOT.?Carole
