Snaffydoo, if this is true it is even more disgusting, telling this lady she should not have gone to the public? She is afraid? What the hell is going on? Is this a dog hobby or what?

by noddi on 16 March 2010 - 09:03

cant the breed  correspondents for the dog papers put it in their notes.can anyone who has a good command of english and is good at putting their thoughts on paper present this to the dog papers.if i could put my thoughts down on paper in a proper manner i would.reckon robert killick would like to know about this.yu know how much he luvs the kc NOT.has anyone one thought of contacting him.maybe we should all write letters to both the dog papers.do yu think Linda Swift would do it.she seems to write a good letter from wot i,ve seen in the mag.wot do yu think.

I can only tell you that I have heard from Pam, and she is adamant that she wants no publicity now.  She particularly asked me NOT to put it in to the breed notes.  She made no reference to Andrew, just said to me that they had heard that  the Top Guy had been very angry that it had gone public and shouldnt have.  Various people have emailed Pam and directly asked the question, but there have been no replies or no contacts from her thus far.   This is so very sad.  Obviously, if I am told that it must not go in Breed Notes - and that was how my email was headed, then I have to respect this wish.

I think Robert Killicks column would be excellent and I know Robert, but Pam has asked me not now, to do anything at all.   How frustrating is this.     Mo.

This is an extract from the Times on line newspaper -  link is on the Crufts thread.......

Mr Dean, who did not expel any dog from the showring but inspected several, said those he saw were sound and fit though a number of dogs were treated at the veterinary centre for stomach upsets and conjunctivitus.

Well we were told without doubt that it was the Cheif Veterinary Officer for Crufts - and that was Mr Dean    ????

FIRSTLY -   THE SV IN GERMANY SHOULD STEP IN HERE AND DEMAND AN EXPLANATION FROM THE KENNEL CLUB AS TO THEIR ACTIONS AGAINST THE BEST OF BREED DOG AND THE GSD IN THE UK ACROSS THE BOARD - HE IS A DOG WHO HAS ALL HIS HEALTH TESTS AND SOME FROM GERMANY - THEREFORE HOW CAN THE SV CONTINUE TO ALLOW THE KC IN THE UK TO CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH THE SV/WUSV OR INDEED THE GSD IN THIS COUNTRY.  SURELY THEY HAVE BROKEN THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THEM - THERE MUST BE SOMETHING THAT CAN BE DONE ON THIS ISSUE.

SECONDLY - WHOEVER IS BULLYING THIS LADY PAM SHOULD BE CAST OUT OF BAGSDS AND PUBLICALLY NAMED AND SHAMED - THIS IS NO WAY TO RUN A MAJOR CLUB IN THE UK.  IT IS TIME THE HONEST MEMBERS OF BAGSDS STOOD UP AND EXPELLED THESE PEOPLE FROM THE CLUB - IT IS POSSIBLE WITH ENOUGH SUPPORT TO CHANGE YOUR COMMITTEES AND EXE COUNCIL.

THIS LADY SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID OF ANYONE, SHE IS AN HONORABLE LADY WHO HAS DONE A GREAT JOB WITH HER DOGS AND SHOULD NOT BE TERRORISED THIS WAY - IT IS DISGRACEFUL.

NO ONE IN ANY BREED SHOULD BE IN FEAR - AND ACTUALLY IT COULD BE A POLICE MATTER AND THESE PEOPLE COULD BE CHARGED WITH BREACH OF THE PEACE FOR PUTTING ANY PERSON IN A STATE OF FEAR AND ALARM - HAVE THIS CHECKED OUT - I AM SURE THAT THEY COULD BE CHARGED FOR THIS DISPICABLE BEHAVIOUR.

KEEP UP THE PRESSURE ON THESE NASTY BULLIES AND MAKE THEM MOVE ON AND AWAY FROM THE GSD IN THE UK THEY ARE NOT WORTHY OF SAYING THEY LOVE THIS BREED.

Aileen.
You say the S.V.should step in.Sorry no,only if the K.C. was a F.C.I. member.

You have in the U.K. two w.u.s.v. clubs and a breed council who should stand up for rights,
Or is it a case of leadership a lion with no teeth.

I was just on my way out the door...when the KC posted this on Facebook in response....

The Kennel Club
The Kennel Club can confirm that a German Shepherd Dog was excluded from the Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme Display Ring. This decision was taken upon the advice of the DFS Crufts vet who felt that the dog showed abnormality in the hindquarters. The Kennel Club is dedicated to ensuring that DFS Crufts is a celebration of healthy dogs and in a display ring, where there is no judge to make an executive decision, it is particularly important that the vet takes the responsibility for ensuring that all dogs are sound representatives of their breed.

Ambi, doesn't it make you wanna puke?  They're so full of poop... how did this, "abnormality in the hind quarters" manifest itself?

I guess this (as yet, undiscovered) genius of a Vet, wasn't (KC) guided to the Bulldogs, Mastifs, Pekes etc... the good old KC always lay the blame at some other buggers door, don't they?  I could have taken bets that they wouldn't take the rap... unlucky for this new (?) Veterinary genius though!

Sorry to babble on... excluded really doesn't equal evicted.  I could be wrong, but I think at least one of the big Newspapers will take this up... eventually!
