Bazza, the bitch (as I understand it) was X-rayed some time ago and the owner informed Sue that the hips looked bad (according to the Vet) but we've all heard the horror stories about Vets giving their opinions on plates!

I believe Sue asked them to contact her when the plates had been scored, perfectly reasonable, yes?  Sorry Pencil, I know how disappointing that little bit of info will be for you and your repeatedly sad attempts at "Sue bashing".  Yes, the plates have JUST been scored.

Sue's priority right now is Kally.

Exactly Jodie... and don't forget, most guarantees are nul & void if the purchase is not treated / looked after in a certain / correct way!

Solicitor... bless!

Miss beeb, thanks for clearing that up, kinda thought that would be the way it was. Totally agree about the vets and their opinions on x rays. My sympathies to Sue, we all know what you are going through with your old friend, don't need all this on top of it.

Thanks Bazza don't do much on here but when something like this happens as a breeder and someone who shows GSD's I feel that this type of thing has to be stopped. as it could be any one of us in the firing line. I wish it were possible to ensure that all our puppies would turn out to have no health problems but like sue and many others all I can do is put parents with all these in place take care of the pups until they leave my kennel and give the new owners advice and hope they follow it BUT i cannot guarantee anything, if a puppy was health checked at 8 weeks and found to have a problem then the new owner would be offered a full refund or another puppy but not after 3 years when i have no idea how the pup has been reared. this is crazy and no court in this country would give it a hearing. Hope sue takes this as she should, water of a ducks back and hope she realises that this is complete and utter nonsense.

Pencil, got this washing machine supposed to wash well at low temperatures. The wife says it leaves stains on her whites, do you think it's the machine or the cheap powder she uses? Do you think, as a solicitor yourself, I have a case against the makers. Would this be a case you might like to get your teeth into?

by bazza on 24 October 2010 - 16:10

Again Reble yell I agree whole heartedly, I only hope Sue is not finding this crap stressful at this sad time for her.

Thanks all for your replies some i agree with some dont they are as i says entitled to there own opinion,I have gave Sue Bellfield the benefit of the dowt but to no avail, yes im devastated about vienna,s hips and thot Sue being Sue would not go back against her word ie- saying let me know the outcome of the plates and we,l take it from there, she has hid behind her husband i dont need mine im a big girl.Bad Breeders think they have the upper hand saying its a chance we take so me as a buyer has,nt a leg to stand on this is not true if that was one breeder who got a bitch and could,nt do anything with it im sure you would be peed of like myself so why is it its one rule for one and another for some. 1 point to to remember in all this yes she may have a dog thats ill now i can say ive bn there but what was vienna she,s one of her bitches. My dog is a beautiful bitch im not knocking that but i paid threw the nose for a long haired bitch for the blood line it does,nt take a scientist to work out what im saying here is common sense. To be a liar you have to be a good one and also where is Sue why has,nt she came on here to defend herself, full of cuddles at the strathclyde dog show hoping that the problem would go away i would not threaten her with court proceedings if i was lying and just had a grievance with Sue.

How long did you give Sue to respond?  If you think Sue Belfield hides behind Jim, you don't know her at all.   It was Sue who told you to get the plates scored... then let her know the outcome etc, etc... you know the rest... not the actions of someone trying to hide something!

What do you think Sue's doing right now?  Looking after her dying dog!  I'm sorry Sue ever sold you any animal.  Got a bitch you can't do anything with, you say?  Is getting money from a litter all you can think of?

I sincerely hope that no other breeder sells you ANYTHING at all in future, you're bad news by all accounts!

reble yell.
you have missed the point as expected, such a bad reputation you give gsd owners, they already think most of you are thick and this case just about proves it. you let yourselves down so badly as you rush to side with your ilk.you see no one not even me are interested in the breeders name, the topic moved on to " fit for purpose " which applies to livestock aswell as other goods.i have just thought how you can all gain a little knowledge ( though that may be dangerous in your cases ) have a word with malcolm griffiths, he knows all about fit for purpose and the trading standards.
