read your post twice and still not sure I understand. You bought a GSD, got a mal and God gave you a Shiloh.

Good luck,

Rik

LOL! I guess you could say that. I thought I purchased a AKC registered GSD from a breeder/LEO. I found out at about 4 months, after trying several times to get pappers, that she was a GSD/Mal mix. They didn't tell me nor refund my money. After an internal investigation at his police dept (the Mal was his service dog) he resigned. I feel that I got the dog I was intended to get. Nothing short of Devine intervention (just joking).

Question: my Shiloh seems to have an obsession with farts. Yes, I said farts. If she farts she jumps like she's just been shot and goes nuts sniffing her butt and the surrounding area. If someone else farts (which, sorry to say, has become sort of a sport in my house) she jumps again like she has been shot, cocks her head from side to side and then attempts to smell the offenders butt. We have laughed so hard it has brought tears to our eyes and I'm sure has caused some of us to wet ourselves. My daughters boyfriend didn't believe us and in private tried it out and was shocked we were telling the truth. I know this is a very high-brow sport to say the least, but after all we are very sofistocated people. We can even fake fart and get the same response. My question is: is this a GSD trait or a Mal trait? Hehe......

No idea about farts...but can we get updated photo to see how she is growing up and turning out?...thanks.

The first two pictures were taken in the back yard this morning and the one with the party hat was taken on her 6 month birthday. Yes, I know it is not dignified for a dog like this, but she's my baby and we did have a party complete with home made dog treats and a present. Laugh and make fun all you want, but we had fun! Of course, you can see by the picture, she was not enjoying the hat at all. She was hoping to get a hold of it and tear it to shreads :) I think she thought I put a bird on her head! August 17th she will be 8 months old. time for another party!
Thanks for your interest in my little Shiloh.

She is a beautiful girl...she will grow out of "farting game" if everyone would ignore it, regardless who is the farter..:) If you focuse on it and make a big deal, she will focuse on it too...

with short hair she looks like a low maintenance girl..and that a good thing! ( 2 out of 3 of my dogs shed all year round...)

...she is very nice looking dog...wish you all of the best!

Nothing like valuable, intelligent dog training conversation.  Oli must be so proud.

I know, hu? I just thought it was funny. It's just one of the many funny things she does. She's so much fun.
Yes, she is very low maintainence. I run a comb through her every once in a while when she looks like she is sheddding and that's it. She's not so keen on the baths, but we don't have to do them that often.

Sorry Dudinero, I just read some of your posts and I shold be careful not to piss you off. I apologize for not keeping this subject on serious training subjects ;) Just trying to lighten it up.
