Something really smells there. I would pay the owners a "surprise" visit if you know where they are located. Or find a PI to do some surveillence. There is something very wrong going on here.

Today I have check with Canine Council and have found out that this puppy's change of registration was done 03/02/2012.
Please tell me WHY would any one change over the registration of a dog that has been dead for 5 months?
That was just 3 days before we met in mediation.
Well sounds to me like this opens a whole new line of questioning:
1. If the puppy was euthanized, per Veterinary records, are her papers being sold to register another dog?
2. If the puppy wasn't euthanized even though the Veterinarian paperwork shows it was, then the Veterinarian is now part of a scam and should be reported to whatever board licenses Veterinarians in Australia.
3. WHAT puppy (if actually euthanized) was euthanized? I know it said that A DOG was euthanized, but how do you know it was the German Shepherd puppy and not some other unknown puppy on their premises?
If you are unable to make a surprise visit to the [former?] owners, then I would recommend hiring someone to do it for you. Can you send the Canine Council the documentation you have showing that the dog (whose registration was changed recently) was euthanized (the Vet paperwork?)

The latest development (re: the registration change, so late after the event) potentially blows my theory out of the water, even if mine was best-case but still terrible all the same. Perhaps they're legally covering their bases, albeit bloody late, if it was your puppy that was so hastily PTS.
It stinks of scenario 3, hence the emphasis on 'if', as posted by Flashbang. The hiring of an investigator is warranted.

When we lost our Tess, we called AKC asap & told them she was put down.
Every breeder should be in contact with AKC to prevent this fraud (?) from going on.
I hear it is a very common thing to do just right along with switching micro chip's on dogs
for trials or testing.

Who "rescues" a puppy from a breeder? If you feel like have to "rescue" a dog from a breeder than you need to move on to another breeder, not rescue the dog and euthanize it. Sounds like something PETA would do and we all know how logical they are.
