Quick edit: If you have a problem with profanity, bear in mind you don't know the relationship between the handlers and trainers here. I don't cuss in front of my training clients at work, but when I'm around friends I've known for years I have a quite a mouth, too. I don't know the relationships or context in this video, and neither do a lot of people commenting here. I doubt someone trained with him for 5 years and showed up one day and suddenly he was cussing. If you don't like someone's language, then you think to yourself, "Wow, this is isn't for me" and you don't go back. Who the hell gets so offended they video multiple training sessions for the sole purpose of splicing them together to post on youtube. It's like a schutzhund version of Mean Girls.

Also, I need to add that I don't need things sugar coated for me. Tell it to me how it is and I can handle it but don't speak to me like that!

I didn't get to view the video, but, I'm sure Steve's language
was every bit as "colorful" as his tat's
Judging by the feedback, the video is a sour grapes attempt
at attacking Steve?
Silly, pathetic, and just plain sad.
I think he'll get a good chuckle out of this thread.
His language is rather colorful, but knowing him for several years,
he has never ever been know to sugar coat anything to anyone.
He will butt heads with his clients/clubmembers, but once you
leave the field it should be forgotten about and thats it.
He will also listen to what a client/student wants to do with their dog,
and as long as it's safe for the dog, he will try what the client/student wants.
As far as the language, think of it like "Vegas",
what happens on the training field stays on the field
I'm pretty sure his group is pretty happy with the caliber of both
bitework and obedience/tracking instruction they are getting.
I believe now Steve is training with many people who were essentially
ignored/mocked or turned away at other clubs because of their dogs are black & red,
or because they are/were novices.
Thumbs up to Steve to have the patience to guide his clients/students through
all three phases of the sport, and nudge them forward when ready to try for their titles.
Some of these same people could hardly figure out which way to put a fur saver on
when they started with him!
Too bad there aren't more "foul mouthed f*ckers" out there like him.
