I looked at those pictures... Looked at my own dog and my heart broke for her.
I would never want to be where she is right now. I gave what I had left.
I also posted on my facebook page.
God Bless!

Thursday Jovi had a blood transfusion in the afternoon and that really seemed to help. She made it a second night which is huge, and this morning was able to walk into a room to see the owner. Going from an 8% chance of living, to walking is a miracle to say the least. She will need to stay through Sunday so please keep the prayers and good thoughts coming for Jovi to make a full recovery! And if you have a minute, click on the "chip in" link and you can see the updated photos of her actually awake and alert from today.
Anyways, thank you again to everyone for passing this link around and rallying support for this amazing dog and owner.

I think it is far simpler than that, and for most of us I don't think it matters who she is. A terrible tragedy has befallen her and her dogs and she is in a desperate situation, so we try and help if we can. There but for the grace of God go any of us.
Exactly, Abby. I didn't chip in because Jovi's a SchH 3 champion, I did it because I'm fortunate enough to be able to do so at this time, and a request for help was made by friends of the dog and her owner, who is doing everything possible to save her dog's life. Just as many people here did for the young dog, Kaiser, who needed hip surgery recently--he's not a SchH 3 champion, and his owner isn't a 'name' in this or that dog sport venue...she's just a woman whose pup was dealt a bad hand from the hip genetics deck and who was doing everything she could to give the dog a life of good quality and comfort, and was willing to let people help her give him that. Never met her, either, and don't really expect I ever will, either. So what? If I have both an opportunity and the resources to help prevent someone's heart from breaking, I'm not going to turn my back on that. It's because there are still people who WILL help like this that I don't *completely* despise my own species.
leotta and ocdoglady, thanks again for these updates, and keep 'em coming. Jovi needs to continue her recuperation and get back home where she belongs again, so she can help Denise recover from the pain of losing Kobe and coming so close to losing Jovi, too.

Everything crossed that she keeps improving and makes a complete recovery. I can just imagine how Denise must have felt to see her walk into the room.
Thanks for the updates, and yes please keep them coming.

Reading the encouraging update on Jovi made my day and brought happy tears to my eyes. I will continue to pray that Jovi makes a full recovery.
God speed beloved Kobi. We know you'll be there waiting when the time comes for your family members, both human and canine, to cross over.
