Debby, I saw that, but no one was getting it.

By the way, that little Sieka of yours- what a fireball! Would you like her shown over the summer? His daughter and mine can do it together, they'd have a blast.

Hey  VonIsengard  please show me the VA1 in the same show as the bitch you posted above.

If she only received a V what did the VA1 in that show look like.  She does look pretty nice.

Skyla, I believe her V was received at a Landesgruppen, not the SS. I did not own her at the time. She was never shown in any SS, she is only SchH1, so ineligble for higher than a V, but she is not a VA dog even if she had a SchH3. Thank you for the kind words, she is of my breeding. I was blessed with the opportunity to purchase her back from the breeder who obtained her from me. I was very happy to have her home.

She was shown at a SS in the US as a puppy and was toward the back of the class, if I'm not mistaken.

Here is my young pup (top photo is recent with her in a natural stack while out hiking at 10 months old and bottom photo a bit younger)....I would say she has a straight back but I can change the degree of angulation a bit with stacking.  She is a UKC CH and does obedience, rally, herding, and agility right now. We are being evaluated for ScH next week....She's super athletic and agile like a cat! She is almost entirely East German bred for what it's worth.... Not very much of a comparison with some of the V and VA dogs posted above but I think she shows a straight back.

Sara
She is lovely and IMO has a beautiful topline. Beautiful everything actually, would you care to send her my way??? BTW just LOVE the second photo!

Then you are asking or a straight back AND a level topline. Two separate things, in one dog. The GSD should not have completely level topline.

Thanks, Abby!! I'll be getting her OFA prelims (hips and elbows) in a couple months and also doing a PennHip. The PennHip is accurate at 1 year (unlike OFA) and won't change too much. I can also submit test results for cardiac and thyroid at that time. I already tested for DM (double normal) and submitted DNA for the CHIC Repository (she has OFA numbers for both) as that was all I could do at this time (other than CERF and I am waiting for a clinic for that one as they usually have the CERF, thyroid, and Cardiac clinics together which will save me money).  But, I have to just wait and see what her test results show.....Then, pray like hell nothing changes when I do them again at 2; especially since I am doing so much performance with her (but I don't jump her or do weaves..just entry work).

Different photos of the same dog. She isn't roached, but the stack makes her look to be.

Many are confused when they see a stacked photo and assume the dog is roached when they're really not.
