Petr is Jirii Novotny's son, all in the family sort of thing. He owns PetAir.

Now I know why I was contacted by Hans from Alpine this morning.  I was not sure how he knew about it.  Hans was going to pick up the dog in Los Angeles for $350 (fuel)  and then ship it to me.  Oh boy, I wish I could just get the dog here or get some kind of answer.  That is all I want.  Just get my dog to me as agreed.  Quit trying to milk me for more money just ship my dog.

Nice racket.

Wow...

I really hope the dog makes it out of this ordeal ok.  If not then Petr and Jiri are really going to have a big mess on their hands.

I feel for you, Birgit :(

(note to self, when getting import dog in future, don't use PetAir)

Lol, they know how to deal with "a big mess on their hands". That is why so many go to them...the experience.

Hopefully the pup been transferred to the airport's kennels and is not still stuck in a cargo crate? Have you been in touch with the airport to enquire after the pup?

You must be so worried about him, apart from being close to going nuclear (I would be!). I hope when you do finally get the poor little fellow he is what you are hoping for...

Poor little pup, must be very confused and lonely.  Hopefully the airport staff are fussing him and reassuring him.

Here is an incomplete  information about the situation which I have at this time.
I was  also unable to get in touch with Peter in Czech/Germany too. Phone went  directly to a voice mail. I finally got through. Peter is still on the road on the way back. He is on the road since Monday  for 3rd day now and sleeping in the car. He made arrangements and  tried to ship the dog from Amsterdam and when he arrived there he was not able to do so, thus he have driven from Amsterdam to Frankfurt. FYI: Prague to Amsterdam:550 miles, Amsterdam Frankfurt: 275 miles, Frankfurt to Prague 330 miles=1175miles
As far as me reshipping the dog to Mrs Hall, Peter   told me that he could ship to LAX and asked me for favor to reship the dog to Mrs Hall since I have to go to LAX to pick my 2 dogs.  I offered to Mrs Hall to pick up the dog at LAX and reship it to B Hall for $350 + Shipping from Phoenix to her. My $350 includes extra gas ( have to take a V10 dodge truck instead my scion  XB for round trip of 800 miles to LAX and back)and gas for  trip to vet( 95 miles round trip)  would had to get the health certificate and the the trip to the airport (100 miles round trip for me) and making all the arrangements also this $350 included part of the customs  broker fee.. I think $350 is pretty fair for all that. But no twisting of hands occurred.
As far as  Peter goes he is going to return the dog and  the money.  Thus he will have a loss. Anybody from our competition  here who wishes that Peter would keep the money in order  to start another witch hunt here must be disappointed. I am sure.   But, nevertheless  it is a false alarm:)

Peter, after he get's some sleep is going to come here and explain in more detail.

Hans, your offer was very kind to pick up the dog.  Yes, gas is high and I did appreciate your offer but I was not going to pay another $1,000.  However, Petr STILL did not contact me.  How come he can contact you and you have all the info?
I have emailed him several times and still no answer.  I told him just to issue a refund and I would have someone else pick up the dog for me.  NO ANSWER!  Now, I did get an email from Germany PetAir telling me that the dog now destroyed the crate (no wonder) and that Petr picked up the dog and will return the dog to the seller.  Why is he doing this?  Why not just listen to me (the owner of the dog) and put the dog thru more stress.
It does not matter to me how long he has been on the road.  I have an agreement in black and white.
It is really a bunch of BS not to even contact me.  Yes, he left 755 Euros at PetAir and tried to keep the balance.  That is the fact and there is nothing to explain.  If he was not able to ship the dog for the 990 Euros plus the 200 I was going to pay he shouldn't have drove all over the world and loose sleep over it.  Yes, let's say he tried so hard to help.  No way.  I am pissed because of no communication.  The only communication came from others.
