GSD 7 weeks "pregnant" and not showing. - Page 8

Any puppies yet!

I know, right Vianden? I'm curious to see if any pups have arrived yet! Ladystark, if you haven't seen any puppies, what's the plan here, to make sure a puppy isn't stuck in the canal?

  Any good vet will know what to do to find out if there is a  pup inside..any female at 58 days to 69 days...some times a good bitch is at 65 or 66 without a problem but you have to know that about your breeding bitch..


THIS is a puzzle and the unknown is not good.

Trixx I would ultrasound then you would be able to see heart beating and movement, xray only tells you how many and nothing about if they are healthy.

Thanks dogshome9, i have an oppointment on monday and will do an ultra sound, not only to see if any pups are there or alive but also to make sure the female uterus is in good shape too. personally i dont think she is pregnant, but is having a false pregnancy ( very true pregnancy signs). by now ladystark should of had  pups if she has any, we all want to know. any news yet????

I also know just how it feels to have a female show all of the signs of being pregnant for no resulting puppies.

For my girl I did ultrasound at 30 days - negative

Ultrasounded again day 48 - negative and so frustrated with all of the signs my girl was showing including milk and a mucus plug leaking (I have never seen this before in a phantom) asked my vet (he thinks I am crazy) for an xray all negative but I still slept beside her for a week. Yes maybe I am crazy?

I hope that ladystark has an answer by now but I don't believe that she will have any puppies.

yea this female is a proven girl and has never had a false pregnancy before and she has miss cycles, she did have a very wierd heat this last time, but then she just started all of  this sign , she is even bagging , i dont see milk or her nesting yet , but other wise she sure has alot of signs,  she is normal size but  she never shows till last week cause of her being a big girl. oh the only thing different is she was off feed for like 4 weeks which is not normal for this female , she is one that always eats never misses a meal, so i am wondering maybe she was pregant at one  time  and reasorbs the pups. she is an older girl and i will retire her at the end of this year.  i am expereinced with whepling but never had this and have had other  females have false pregnancy , but this one is so real. an ultra sound is needed. i will tell you if there are any pups, but i dont feel any so i am going to say No. the stud i use ,we never got a tie, he just was inside her  many times, for some reason he would not tie with her, that was the wierdest thing i have even seen too.

ok went to vet today and got an ultrasound , well no puppies as i kinda thought , but good news is she has an excellent uterus, very healthy. ok now ladystark we are waiting to hear-
