Red Sable

Maybe some of you will recognize him.  I saw him at the dog show today, I took pictures of him before I realized he was famous.
A woman there told me this dog was absolutely correct in conformation.

Weak pasterns and cow hocks

RS,

I have a laugh on my cheek because I remember how you and Debi Sue would immediately notice the cow hocks and splayed feet on my dogs, so here is a famous dog having the same/similar problems

Pasterns do look a tad weak, in the second photo he is standing cow hocked...question is does he move cow hocked?  Otherwise he's a handsome dog, looks like he's a lil overweight.  Who is he?

Is that the cousin to the great, great, great, great, great, grandson of the full brother to Rin Tin Tin?

I agree with you Ibrahim.  Actually he was VERY weak in the pasterns, the pic doesn't do it justice.

He is the dog that won at Westminister this year, and his handler/owner is Jimmy Moses.  So, is he Chaz? LOL

OK, just so as to be not so negative, he had a gorgeous head.  If you would have cut his legs off, he'd be gorgeous. :)

Pasterns are awful, cow-hocked to the max, croup looks all wrong and it is fat. See dogs like that in any pound....

He stands cow hocked--lots do but he sure doesn't move that way. He does leave a lot to be desired in the pastern department and when he moves you can see that. But then again it's AKC and Jimmy Moses.

I wonder what he will pass to his progeny....the faults or Jimmy Moses?

by joanro on 08 July 2012 - 02:07

Too funny, Gustav. I bet both. :)
