Good posts Bhall and Jen and I agree.
When I had this litter I too advertised them as being sold with LTD registration and said they were not for breeding. I got all the dumbass calls too Jenn. One person kept on and she didn't like the white on the chest-she knew they weren't purebred. Wanted a male with a male dalmation. Told her a girl would be better. Then she wanted to come down here--told her I wouldn't be here--still she wanted my address and was going to come right on down. I've thought about her and wondered if she was with an animal rights group--so I cut her off. Another one wanted a female and they had a beautiful male. Nope not even going there. I only had 2 for sale and I advertised them at a week old. One wanted to come down immediately and make her pick--no mam I do the picking when it is time--then she wanted to jump on me for advertising them at a week old knowing they couldn't go home.
Nope I don't like all those hassles. When they went home, I got hugs from people--one lady wanted to take my DeJa too!!!! Time to pay deposits they all did as they said--except the one who backed out. When I had them vet checked I scanned the vet report and emailed it to them. Everybody showed up when they said--I made folders with the papers, pedigree, vet report, shot/worming record, contract, which after we went over it and both of us signed it, I scanned it into my hard drive, and a paper I wrote up telling them the schedule the puppy had been on regarding food, outside time etc. And that's how you work it.
I have had hassles before like when I had one hell of a time getting Voo back. I got her back finally. Why? Because she decided she couldn't sell big money puppies with Am SL blood in her. We co owned her, let her have her for next to nothing and she was going to put all kinds of AKC OB titles on her and PP and so on and so forth. When we finally got her back no she didn't get a dime back because she lied about everything she was going to do. She did nothing but send her home filthy, almost emaciated and scabs on her head from a dog fight. She went behind my back and tried to get people involved against me--tried to turn my mentor and her mom against me. But nobody believed her. And it's a good thing she finally decided to meet them halfway and give her back because we were fixing to go there and get the dog.
So yeah there are all kinds of scammers and liers out there when they want something. And BTW the way I understand this whole situation is the reason it was not disclosed to him the dog was sterile is because he said he wanted a competition dog not a stud dog. If I am wrong please correct me. So I don't think what she put or didn't put on the ad has anything to do with this.
