I hate to even comment here, but I do feel compelled to. I have been following the thread and have to admit I am discouraged over it, 

I can not wrap my head around why Juan is being charged $700 and being denied an immediate refund..I agree that a sum of money should go to the seller for inconvenience, but $700??...Even if he was a rude a** doesn't give someone the right to withhold from him his money..We all work hard for our money,,

I hope those involved will rethink the matter,

Please reconsider your decision,,The right thing is often difficult to do, but necessary for ones reputation and good name,,This seller has had both a good reputation and a good name and I would hate to see that change,,,

The buyer could have handled things better for sure. But I doubt anyone here would be thrilled finding out about a significant issue after the check is cashed.

If he was getting a full registration, wouldn't that imply everything that goes with a full registration?  Wouldn't that be his options?  anything else would be withholding pertinent information.  The person whom I bought my dogs from has given me all the information I need and more.  been helpful and most friendly, helping be become involved in showing, lots of encouragment, advice, she is the picture of reputable breeders.  Maybe I'm  just lucky but I did my research, and have no regrets.  I can't imagine a breeder not wanting to have that kind of reputation.

Juan doesn´t post any more. Is it part of your "arrangement" that he isn´t allowed to post here any longer?

You either should change his description or test his sperms...

Why would he not be allowed to post?  He can post. FREEDOM OF SPEECH!
He is just tired of the drama also as he agreed that he should have specified that he was looking for a stud dog and I should have asked if he is looking for a stud dog.  

This is the last thing I am going to say. How many of you guys on here take deposits? How many of you refund deposits if someone backs out? If you take a, let's say, 500 deposit from me and I call a week later and say OMG my dinosaur died and I can no longer take the puppy. So you keep the deposit necause it is non refundable--your contract says so. So you have made 500 for doing absolutely nothing but putting someone's name down for a puppy that may only be a week old and will be ez to sell by 8 weeks.

I went to her website and checked it all out. The only thing it says about Orex is on the males page where she does say it is hard to get a stud dog of this quality. It also talks about what he has produced in Germany. This is not on the for sale page it is on her males page, which tells me she had planned on using him herself in her breeding program. She tried, the girls came up empty.

Even tho Juan misrepresented himself by saying he wanted the dog for competition and family, I will say that I think she should have told him the dog was possibly sterile. I say possibly because she did say she'd never taken him to a repro vet and he was known to produce before he came to the states. Then again as Jenn and I agreed upon you can say not for breeding all you want in the ads and people don't get it.

As far as birds of a feather sticking together, I feel part of that is directed at me. I will say you don't know me except for what I write on this board. I don't put all my biz in the streets--people I talk to privately will tell you I am honest and try to do people right. I have articles written about me and the dogs in the paper about my honesty and dog donating practices. So leave me out.

I explained why she should keep some of the money and I still agree with that.

Thank goodness tho they have worked it out and all is well. This should have been discussed privately and not brought on this board because things like this just bring about pissing matches. JMO...................

Same here.  I have actually refunded deposits even though deposits are non refundable.  I have actually purchased puppies back because people have moved and couldn't take them  on top of that we donate 4-5 fully trained dual purpose K-9's to low budget Departments EVERY YEAR.  It certainly was not about the money.  It was a huge misunderstanding that has been resolved.  It should have stayed private.  I am a very reasonable person and many can attest to that.
