Brigit, so glad you worked it out.  Have great success.  Nan

Juan, you seem like a very sweet  decent man, and I really hope you got treated fairly.  I hate seeing people ripped off, especially those who have a language barrier or any other type of  disadvantage.
Situations like this really bother me.
I am not trying to fan any fire, (LOL, @ Joan Teeth Smile)  I'd be the happiest person around if  everyone was honest and this kind of crap never happened.

Red Sable,  Nobody was dishonest and I am certainly not a dishonest person.  It was a misunderstanding....If I was dishonest I would have shipped the dog and kepy my mouth shut.  Then again, you made up your mind about me and that is fine with me.

Deposits are almost as a standard, non refundable. Sometimes we make exceptions.  This particular case I feel that most of the fault of the situation falls on the intended purchaser. He did in fact, present himself as a newbie buyer who wanted a family companion and a competition dog. He made no mention of being interested in breeding.  Not being in Birgit's shoes at the time, I don't know, maybe I would have or wouldn't have brought up the fact that Orex had not produced any pups with the last two females, since Juan came across as not wanting a stud dog anyway. I'm certain she felt she had found him the perfect pet home.

I have shipped a dog or two without first receiving the shipping cost since the dog had been paid for. I ended up eating the shipping charges because the buyer never paid.

This all started because Birgit canceled the shipping on Orex due to the fact that Juan still owed a balance on him.  Certainly Birgit did not market Orex in her ad as a stud dog, good for someone's breeding program. As for him being sterile, that remains to be proven and has nothing to do with the way there was an utter and complete disregard for common procedure in contacting the seller to try to work out a purchasing issue. The bottom line is that this buyer did not give Birgit the opportunity to try to work out a solution, but immediately started a "burn her at the stake witch hunt", here on a public forum of her peers. His malicious intend to ruin her reputation should be well noted by all.

Ruger1 - You know I have the utmost respect for you. Always have and always will.  My opinion is like everyone else's though, just my opinion of this buyer.  I do feel that he came on here and intended to slander Birgit and force her to quickly fold to his threats and demands and bit off more than he bargained for. I Still feel Birgit IS a reputable breeder and seller.

Birgit just might be the most honest person I know. She has never sugar coated a damn thing even for me as a friend. Her matter of fact delivery may sometimes rub a sensitive soul the wrong way but I have always appreciated the frank honesty myself.  The only misunderstanding that has taken place here is the assumption that Birgit Hall would just roll over and quickly give him exactly what he wanted, exactly when he demanded it.

susie - Knowledge is a funny and powerful thing.  When you actually have it everything is clear. When you "think" you know it all, you look really dumb. Could Birgit possibly still have Orex on her males page because she has a female that just might possibly be in whelp to him(which would negate all of the he's sterile debate)?  Are you the kind of person who stirs shit just so they can continue to enjoy the smell?  If not, why mention that JGerman had not posted since he and Birgit have settled their dispute off of the forum as it should have been done in the first place? He has now, so are you now personally satisfied?

All in all though. I am glad that they have worked everything out. Just my two cents worth...my  honest opinion and nothing more....

Susie said what many of us were thinking.  If you read the whole thread, you will see where one may get that idea from Bhalls posts.
Susie also has a few valid points about Orex still being listed as a stud on the website?  I'm sure Juan looked at her website before considering to buy the dog, he wouldn't buy from simply an ad.

Obviously you are her friend, so you know as well as I and everyone else does, that people treat their friends much better in business dealings than they do strangers. We all can speculate 'what' happened, but really all we have is what is written in front of us.  Juan doesn't come off as a monster at all, but as someone who was afraid he was going to be? duped.

As for Ruger, I love her too.  She is as sweet as they come so no one better hurt her either.Teeth Smile

Sitting in Germany I don´t no either of the parties involved, but I know a lot about language barriers...

I still don´t understand why said dog wasn´t shown to a vet.

Sterile = money back ( all of it, and Bhall keeps the dog )
not sterile = Juan gets a good dog and Bhall keeps the money

This dog already had puppies, 2 not pregnant females is not that uncommon...

but if this dog is not sterile, Bhall would have sold a good dog for little money...

...and this is MY honest opinion.

Why not just go and collect him, and know for sure? Wouldnt hurt business if you are able to show that he still can produce.

I said I wasn't going to say anymore, but I can't help myself.

OK the website Miss Susie--you know what? A website is nothing more then a person's home on the internet, You pay for it and unless who hosts it has specific rules you can put anything on there you want. I can put on mine the dogs are purple and yellow if I want to. What difference does it make to you what she has him listed as? He is not listed for sale super stud dog, or at stud super stud dog. So I think you guys are just trying to stir the pot and make things look bad for her for whatever reason.

Von Mystical, very nice post, and I agree 100%

Do any of you guys know how much a trained guaranteed K9 costs? And she donates 4-5 a year. The time it takes to evaluate and train such a dog, much less vet care, housing, food and just general maintenance. I think that is awesome. Kudos to you Birgit.

And by the way since birds of a feather stick together--how bout that light sable dog at the top of your for sale page? Forgot his name but boy do I like him. I mean now that I have been classified as your good friend--you know guilt by association? LOL

You shouldn't live in a glass house and throw stones.

Juan I am glad you guys have it settled and it will work for both of you. I hope you have learned something about bringing things like this on public forums when it should have and could have been dealt with privately.

Thumbs Up   Elkoor !

At this point the result wouldn´t have been good for Bhall any ways...

Sterile - Juan wouldn´t take the dog, no money ...

not sterile - Bhall wouldn´t give the dog away for 3500 ...

MysticalHaus just told us that there might be a pregnant female at Bhall´s kennel - time will show...
