SupaK, what people have said, both on your threads and on this one of Ladyhaze's is very
much the equivalent of "best get a hybrid car";  not "Dont drive",  but: "Don't drive without your
Licence and a seat belt".
it is a bit different because learning to drive someone elses vehicle then going and buying an eco
friendly car is something you can do within a short period of time, assuming you can afford it; and
you learn a skill then buy an inanimate object, which if you dont like you can soon trade in.

The reason experienced dog-folk get so hung up when we get the impression someone isn't
taking our advice on board is that dogs are breathing sentient beings - and so are the puppies they
produce;  its just so different to buying a car or a fridge or a computer or a music system.

Let me ask you something, given how many things you have asked here:
If I came and asked you to teach me a skill you have, or how to do some job you work at,
wouldn't you be a bit displeased if I did not give you any feedback that I was taking in your
instruction and would apply it when I did the thing for myself ?

Just a comment on the original post. Sometimes your first reaction when you read the post turns out to be absolutely spot on.  Even though you might override it and give someone the benefit of the doubt.

You arn't going to make money breeding shepherds, even if you take shortcuts.  Puppies get sick, little things pop up that add up in vet visits, health testing parents, etc etc its not going to end up with you being in the green.  German Shepherds are sensitive, intelligent animals that need a ton of attention and are a lot more work and expense than say, toy breeds.  You can count on around 2k in expenses (food, milk, vet, toys, bedding, water/detergent for washing, microchipping, etc) to raise a decent sized litter right from inutero until they are all placed in new homes.  This is assuming nothing major goes wrong with pups or mom and the pups are healthy and saleable and you have no buyer issues.  You can also tell your kids/hubby to take care of themselves or get ready to help for two months or however longer it may take you to home the pups because if you care for them how they and mom need its going to be very time consuming.  Cleaning up, feeding, playing, nurturing, taking in/out, not too bad the first three weeks after that count on 4-6 hours a day of time spent with the pups.  Its a crutial time they cant just be locked up and ignored.  They are loud, always hungry, into everything, and crap/pee machines.  Also, if that is your female in the pic, she looks fat, this may make pregnancy harder on her and raise her risk for complications.
