LOVE THY SHEPHERD

by LOVE THY SHEPHERD on 07 April 2013 - 14:04

Kitkat, I agree !              Wink Smile

Why on earth are there 4 pages on this topic ?  If you like the dog that's great.  If you haven't seen
the dog in person  don't comment.   He's a great dog !   There is no perfect dog out there and it's silly
to comment on a dog you know nothing about.   Let him alone, this is probably why he is not at stud now
to outside females.
Sport is suppose to be fun for you and your dog.  Are we having fun, NO.  So quit complaining and look
at your own dog, go outside today and train your dog.  You guys have toooo much time on your hands.
Please try to be kinder to each other as life is way too short to be so unhappy all the time.  You guys scare
the heck out of newbies on here.  They come on here to POSSIBLE LEARN something, try and listen to them.
Yeah, that means not shout out accusations, argue over who's  who,
If you like Bomber great, if he's not your cup of tea then look elsewhere.  Parrish brought him here to improve
our wonderful breed !   Take a look in the mirror,  those people that have complained about him.  Now look what
YOU have done.  You made it possible for a great thing here to maybe blow up in our faces.

LTS, who made you the queen?

by ejax on 07 April 2013 - 16:04

Would some one please go back to page one of this thread and read what I posted and tell me where there was a personal attack on the dog or his owner. I stated my opinion and some facts and immediately Paul G. took offense to it and suggested I check my facts. Can anybody have a difference of opinion without it becoming a defense party for those who support the different opinion? What did I say about Bomber that was untrue? I never said what kind of dog he was or wasn't. I simply stated what has been proven by two of his half brothers and what he hadn't done in the same venues. Is there something wrong with that? As you can tell I have commented on this thread more in the last two days than I have in the three years on this board, I am not a cyber trainer. I get on here in between doing multiple things that are more important. It just kills me how people are so sensitive to an opinion that differs from their own, that is many times less informed, that they go into defense mode immediately. As I stated earlier, I would own a Bomber son if the breeding would have taken in Belgium two years ago so I obviously have nothing against the dog. I am just amused by how many flavor of the month so-called dog people hop on the bandwagon of the next import that shows up. Most have no experience with the bloodline or any real knowledge of the dog but regurgitate the marketing and hype surrounding the animal. Then when someone else has an opinion, not an attack, that differs from their own, it's time to fight. None of this internet quibble effects my happiness with my life, dogs, training or competing. If it does anyone's who read these posts then they have some serious personal problems. With that being said, it's Spring, the days are warmer and longer and those of us with goals for our dogs this year have work to do. So, good luck and don't let posts on the internet get you all bent out of shape, life is to short for such trivial issues.

Hey fellow dog lovers. This is Parrish. I was called yesterday repeatedly from people telling me what was going on with this forum. I couldn't read it until last night. Why? Because I was training dogs. Russ however did call this little Asian fella Mike and had a spirited conversation the likes of which i doubt has been matched since I was 15 and my parents caught me with a bag of weed. Those of you that know Russ will know this. He has never threatened anyone in his life. He is the most calm man I have ever met. He has a masters degree and plays classical music in the university Orchestra. Anyway Mike, He wasn't talking about doing anything to you himself. With all due disrespect, you are a hysterical, dishonest, deceitful little snake of a man and I didnt like you when i first met you. Pay attention here. You may want to remember this one day. I do not like you.

Now, Russ told me not to post anything on Pedigree Database. However, KitKat called me out personally with a direct question. Was I laughing? No KitKat I am not. There is nothing funny about this. In fact, it has reached an all time low for Pedigree Database.  I am going to set things straight here and hopefully this will go away and we can all get back to training our dogs.

Little Mike and his crew from Arkansas came to my kennel to look at Bomber in person. Lots of people have done that. Some have even wanted pictures taken with themselves and Bomber together. Mike however wanted to give Bomber a bite. Ok, no harm there Russ said. Even though Bomber was on antibiotics for an infection and didn't feel very well yet it seemed there was no harm to be done. I do not allow Bomber to be doing the obstacle course because I don't want him hurt. He is a stud dog. I don't allow him to do a long bite. Too many good dogs have been injured because of inexperienced decoys. Bomber is a stud dog. I don't want him hurt. I want him to breed and have puppies. He is above being critiqued by some inexperienced, immature, pip squeak of a fella with a keyboard and a little man complex but as you can see that doesn't stop some people.

When i walk into the room where Bomber is kept in a crate during training, he lights up the room. The dog scares the crap out of me. But i am a big guy and he acts the same when most of the other guys in training come in the room. When my 14 year old daughter comes in the room, he barks but it is half hearted. Just a "Hey I'm in this room" sort of bark. He was sort of like that with Little Mike. I'm not saying it was because Mike is a small little Asian fella or that Bomber may have mistaken him for a young girl due to his diminutive stature, but Bomber didn't really perceive little Mike as much of a threat. That with the combination of medication he was on may have contributed to it but the fact is, Little Mike wasn't much of a threat. Bomber still shook him all over the ground like a little girl. Maybe that's why he is trying to sound like he is some sort of authority on dogs but the fact is, we should have gotten him something more geared for his ability like one of the young puppies. It is our fault for embarrassing him. We didn't mean too but with a guy that small it was impossible not to. We thought the guys from Arkansas came to train their dogs and look at Bomber as some of them told us they even have Bomber progeny but with Mike it seems to be a good lesson here that there are people in all areas of life with hidden agendas and to be more careful about letting our guards down.

Shortly after the visit from the guys in Arkansas we received an anonymous email warning us that someone was planning to poison Bomber. This is why we do not allow outside people to come and toy with the dog anymore and why Russ is very cautious about taking him to trials to let people see him. I am not pointing out anyone in particular so do not say I am. I am not.  Russ banning NWAMike from our kennel has nothing to do with the threat to Poison Bomber. Most of the people around me already know about the threat and are very watchful when he is in public. It is a real shame it has come to this but we no longer allow him to "give bites" or breed outside females. I just dont want to lose my dog to some idiot with a grudge and some poison.

Now some of you have started naming all these dogs that have had more competition accomplishments. Yes there are plenty. All great dogs. go buy one of their puppies. It wont hurt my feelings. All my males are already sold out, and they haven't even been born yet. For the next three litters. So, why wasn't he trialed more? Weezy figured it out. Nice eyes Weezy. Bomber injured his back leg above and below the hock when he was young. It doesn't keep him from doing anything he wants to do but it does still hurts him at times and occasionally he will limp a little when he gets too active or too much strain. Some of you use that as an argument that he is less of a stud dog than your favorites.  To this I can only say Bomber filled his breed book. Not for one year, forever. Then received a 25 breed extension from the SV. Now start naming all the other stud dogs that have done that. Maybe you are smarter than the Germans and your own breeding program is better than mine. For those of you that have been running Bomber down.......I don't care. Time alone will tell which of us was right and which of us was just blowing in the wind. I bought him, I own him, I like him. I will breed him however I see fit to whatever dogs I want to and your opinion is just like mine. It will work wonders in your own breeding program but it wont do squat in mine. I like him and that is what DOES matter. I will continue to consult with Reiner Holtmann before each breeding and he alone will have any influence on my breeding program. A board member of the German SV who I am proud to call my friend.

Now I have also heard people ask. "What has Parrish ever done in competition" Easy answer. NOTHING. I dont care about competitions or trials. That is Russ's thing. I normally dont even go to them. Now Google me and put Tornado in with the search and see what you come up with. I do search and rescue training. Thats what I do. Personally I see no point in bragging about how well your dog does jumping over a hurdle or how fast he turns loose of a sleeve on command or how great they are at finding hotdogs in a track if they cant go out at night, in mid winter to find a lost child before he freezes to death. I want to find a drowning victim before it gets too eaten up so their families don't have to see them like that. I do that because it is so bad I dont want anyone else to have to do it. A lot of you heard the stories about me after the Joplin Tornado. What you dont know is that I can still smell the bodies I found. I cant get the smell out of my head. There were a lot of stories about what I did to the looters I found stealing from the homes of the people I was looking for, but none of you know that during the 5 days me and Jody worked finding the bodies I came home every night and cried. Sometimes I still do. Jody still limps from all the cuts on her feet and legs but refused to stop searching until i finally picked her up and carried her back to the car for the last time, dripping blood along the way. Yes we both paid a price for what we did but I would still do it again tomorrow. So would Jody. Now ask me again why I bought Bomber if you still cant figure it out. I'll try my best to explain it but I doubt you will ever understand. I am trying to breed a dog that is useful. Not just good for looking at. I felt Bomber was the best stud dog there was for what I wanted. I Thank God Reiner Holtman agreed with me and approved me as the next custodian of Bomber. I still consider Mr. Holtmann to be the true owner of Bomber.

Now, I also saw the Moderator get involved on this thread. Apparently Little Mike said something bad about her mother. I don't know her but that made me feel as bad as anything he said about Bomber. I want to tell you I'm sorry that happened. That man has no class and I suspect his career in the dog world will soon be short lived. People like him stir up a stink but usually find that the smell follows them around and they move on. He is no different than a dog that has a bad habit. If you don't give them a correction they don't stop.  To the Moderator......I am very sorry.

To those of you that have taken the time to read this I thank you. I'm just sorry it got caught up in so much drama. There will be bad apples in every barrel but that shouldn't stop us from doing what we do. Training our dogs. Whether it is SAR work like mine or competition trials or just to be a friend and companion. No matter what bloodlines they are from they are still great and we still love them. But, knocking someone elses dog doesn't make ours any better.  Dogs are more honest than people.

Parrish
P.S. I keep getting messages while writing this that Roxy didnt take in her breeding. She was bred 2 weeks ago. All of you that can tell after 2 weeks if a dog is bred raise your hands. No? Neither can I. :) Catty however was bred 5 weeks ago and is as big as a pumpkin.

Parrish,
You are a class actThumbs Up.
I figured there was more behind it all, and look at that. There was.

Seems Bomber is better at reading 'helpers' than vice versa Wink Smile

There is plenty more to this as far as this forum and the damage and problems he has caused Oli and this site. He is a little hothead who has used upwards of 20 to 30 names and as many IPs to cause problems. He has been reported to a lot of places and there are plenty of eyes watching his every online move. Little guy go away and lick your wounds any problems here tracked back to you will lead to your downfall. It appears you have done well enough with your own downfall in the dog world so don't take it further and cause yourself further troubles outside of the dog world.

Very good post Parrish and knowing this guys past history on this site as I do, I would not let this guy near my family, my house or my dogs.

Wonderful post Parrish! Your dogs speak for themselves, as do you! Personally I'd love a Bomber puppy, he is a class act.

Parrish,
Excellent post and I applaud the work you do / did with your SAR dog.  There is absolutely no need for any explanation from you on this forum, but it was nice that you did.  I wish you the best of luck with your breeding program and Bomber.  You certainly have some excellent females in your breeding program complemented by an excellent stud.

I am embarrassed that Parrish has to come and post in this thread. I just wanted some opinions on a breeding and it turned into a free for all capped off by NWAMike.

If someone could please post nwamikes name so that I make sure I never do business with him in the future that would be great.

It looks like the breeding world has learned why Bomber never competed in a larger show which was due to an injury if I read right.

Parrish thanks for clarifying things in regards to the breeding. I wish there was not so much misinformation out thwre being spread around not only about Parrish and bomber but also all the other crap that flies on this forum.

The last thing I want to see is to NWAMIKE. What kind of person would trash someone's breeding program in public on a forum a world class dog as well and then be pissed because you were told not to come back and use their fields?  I mean that in and of itself tells me all I need to know about you.

One last thing I can speak on from experience that Parrish said the smell you encounter when doing something like he did is correct you never forget it.

I am sure the famlies are very appreciative of your help.
