if the thread is an honest attempt to be educated, you have just made your first step in a thousand mile journey. Have fun. If this is an atempt to start stuff, have fun but don't step in it.

let me tell you what I like about the original czech dogs over most (west)sport dogs

on/off switch, better balance of drives(prey/civil) and can go  weeks without working easily without going crazy and start to pull the curtains down Wink Smile

generally speaking

I took the OP as "total" sarcasm.

Me too. Seemed kind of unwarranted, imo.

I took as a little sarcasit as well.  The truth is thats is all about blood lines.  With out devling in specifics about bloodlines and their characteristics, if the 2 pups where bred from dogs that had blood lines of czech dogs then if you bred the 2 pups you would be staying within those blood lines.  This would go for any breeding, whether it be working or sport WGSD, DDR, American etc.

how many generations do you need to call a line a line, how much and how close inbreeding as well?

conventional wisdom states that the 6 lines were created based on one pre-potent dog which formed a new branch off the tree, you work backwards from your dog and apparently no matter how many lines you cross in the ancestry your dog is the line that it branches off from originally, at least that is how i have seen it explained most often, makes little sense to me personally.

given the logic of the 6 lines why is not fero a seventh line, surely he qualifies for his own line given how all over evry other ped he is?

the last one which blows what is left of my mind is i can't remember his name that curren sire that has bought back the extinct first line, how is that possible to bring an extinct line, and how is possible it is bought back through one dog and not his litter-mates or that line was not in his parents??

y'all know the name of the dog i am referring to, nice dog.
