Love your boy, Jyl! He's masculine without being too heavy, and looks very athletic as he's going for the escape bite!

I have a male blanket back with a dark face, so I have a soft spot for that colour. Aiko's structure is a bit like Ranger's too, though your boy has a better back and feet:

Thanks Sunsilver, I loved Aiko. He passed away 2 years ago. I still miss him dearly... he was a great dog. He was a fun dog to work.

Sitasmom, on page 3, in pic 2 where you have 4 pics of a gsd in different poses, pic 2 shows a bent elbow ( motion pic) and a rear that is not balanced with the front- the gait is way off, IMHO... There is no extensionfront or rear, and no under-reach! Movement should come from the shoulder, which should fully open- the dog depicted does not open her shoulder, but rather appears to be moving from her elbow (hence the bent elbow) with no rear follow through...That is not, IMHO, a correct or a balanced gait. I am sure she is a lovely dog, but that gait has zero to do with the standard, again, IMHO.

So, what exactly is a 'field trial'?  Thinking
