Ibrahim, I am pretty sure he carries the blue recessive. He and Eirik have very light eyes. They are striking and actually aesthetically quite beautiful, though incorrect. I may test them all to see if I'm right, but I'll betcha I'm right and that they carry for the blue dilution. Eliot has really nice coloring that doesn't show in that photo. I'll see if I can find a better one to show his coat color.

Jenni, (other than light eye), they all have a sparkle in their eyes, maybe I can call it ............... I couldn't find the right word, but I will explain the word below and you tell me the word

You know when we make barbeque, we use wooden coal pieces which we light and make the meat on them, the piece of coal when left without airing it, the fire in it cools down. Their eyes is same like that coal piece, if you give it some airing it will catch fire immediately and become so hot and can burn your fingers. Maybe I sound like a fool Teeth Smile

Sparkle makes perfect sense, Ibrahim. They all have some fire in their eyes and you can tell "someone's home" upstairs. Wink Smile

If not for the blue, I would repeat this litter in a heartbeat. I *might* breed her to another showline who we do not think carries for blue, as he is 10 and has never produced it. I'm going to pick him up tonight and see what I think of him and if I like him, I'll give it a shot. I really liked the structure and temperament I got, though some are not as easy to manage as I thought they would be. Eliot is one. I thought he was an easy pup but he's shaping up to be a very strong dog. I don't mean I thought he was a wimp, but I didn't expect him to wake up quite as much as he has. He was a very very sweet, biddable puppy. He would've been my last choice for personal protection but he has really come alive in that department. I know I am often too hard on my own dogs in terms of evaluating temperament and that's one time I really undersold one.

The good news is his owners are quickly learning to be really good dog handlers! LOL

It is important and educating to keep us posted on the progress of those puppies due to the interesting breeding of Work X Show of two good specimen. In regards to structure I like what I see and I have a theory that their temperament might be like that of good old GSDs, stable one, and thus makes a versatile all round GSD.

Wouldn't let me edit to add to my previous post...

I think all the pups are growing into their own & you can see the personality in their faces. Ely is still my favorite tho, love that big head!

Eris is just beautiful, even with the crooked little nose :) You can see the mischief in her eyes. Bet she's a FUN pup!
