I still think Ely looks Klingon. :D I love them all though. It's been fun watching them grow up, with all the Facebook updates. Any of Ember?

Thank you so much for posting these pictures, a lot of us are mentally involved in this "special" litter, I love to follow their progress. Ely ( my little Mohawk ) still is my fav though...

One personal favor: A big, big thank you from me to the family that gave Eris a new home - she is a Beauty!

Thank you both.  I don't think posting them was a mistake, as some said. I think it's good to show both the pros and cons of breeding. It's a shame about the blues because this was a really nice litter otherwise.

Susie, Eris' new mom is a very special person. Luckily, it wasn't as bad as I feared, but she was willing to take her regardless, and that says a lot. Eris is very happy and healthy and has a wonderful life. She is oblivious that there's anything "wrong" with her.

Funny story...I was berated on FB for breeding "genetic nightmares" or something to that effect by some genius (who also breeds) who was posting that Eris's muzzle was like that because I bred a "pointy nosed showline" to a "wider muzzled working line so "obviously the muzzle is going to be all messed up" and I'm a terrible person for lying and saying it was an injury, blah blah blah.  He was serious! What Smile  And he's on this forum, actually...recently making noise about some other nonsense. Goes to show some of the dumbest people in the world are involved in breeding dogs!

" Goes to show some of the dumbest people in the world are involved in breeding dogs! " ( including Germany Shades Smile =  seems to be an international problem ... )

Jenn, it is the luck of the draw....the roll of the dice...I bred my Busecker/Schloss/ Wiethurchen girls to stud I found out later had BLUE genes in him but none came up ever.

My Bear Jerome had Uran for his GrSire and liver and other is in his breedings but none came out.

Found out later in research that blue was in several of the dogs behind my foundation kids...but never did any show up ..

OF course, it took a lot of looking to find it out...JUST like several dogs owned by members here who thro Liver and no one knew till they had liver pups in the breeding box...THEN letters and emails and pms started flowing that" oh we had a litter by the daughter and the brother"  etc and on and on...Behind every good Man is a GOOD woman...

Disclosure is the devils advocate in breeding.

can someone explain to me genetically what makes this litter so genetically unique and special and all of that. jen don't jump to a conclusion i am being negative, the bandwidth and comments this litter has received is off the scale, sure nice pups, there a bazillion nice litters with nice pups, most get zero public attention and will remain anonymous. many will become PSD, sport stars, producers of same etc - so again, don't take this as a jab at your litter, i just want to get WTF all the buzz is about from a technical perspective to increase my knowledge.
