Jenni  I have to admit Ely has turned out to be one of the nicest Blues I have  ever seen.

[You will recall  I said I generally find it an unattractive colour in GSDs]

A LOT of that is to do with him being a very good dog structurally, from these pix,  and NOT a

longcoat.   His colour is also quite deep and clear, which it so often isn't on saddle-marked

dogs.  I hope he doe not lose that as he gets older.

Even tho' those eyes suit Ely,  I still don't like / cannot get used to  pale eyes.

I hope he lives a long happy and useful life, of course.

Jenni, I LOVE blues.  I think they are beautiful.  I wouldn't breed one on purpose, but I wouldn't be mortified if one showed up in a litter of mine.  And if I ever found a litter where a blue showed up and a pup was the right match for me, I'd take it.

The first blues I ever saw were actually blue sables.  From an American show line breeding of all things :D
