GSDadmin,

So are you alluding that you don't think OFA is worthwhile since you have 3 dysplastic dogs from OFA parents?

And the topic of the thread is just puppies and the initial post stated that there were no confirmed buyers yet.  To me, the topic is everything included in the initial post by the OP, which includes the puppies are for sale and the bloodlines and titles of the parents.  All is relevant and on topic or why else would it have been included in the initial post by the OP?

Can we go back to talking about puppies........ bred by dogs that have not been OFA'd ?

Get your facts straight, dammit! The sire is OFA good, hips AND elbows!!  Angry Smile Angry Smile

And the main reason I started this thread was because certain member had BEGGED me for pictures!  Roll eyes

Hi Matt,

Please don't put words in my mouth. I said 3 dogs bought from parents of OFA good or excellent are dysplastic. If I know they are dysplastic I must have OFAd them, no? So, if I spent the 1200.00 to OFA them it must be important to me, no? So, OFA is not the cure all be all, it is just another important tool in the toolbox but it is not perfect in any way shape or form.

And the original intent of this thread was exactly the way the OP stated in the previous post. It is only a certain number of members who seized on it and commenced to try and make it their little soapbox or to attack a member here in very good standing.

SS, your pups are very nice and I am sorry others used it to get their digs in when they could have easily started a new thread about breeding dogs who are not OFAd.

Kim,

Please don't confuse us not banning you with weakness or being cowards, we didn't ban you because we gave you the benefit of the doubt and then it became apparent you wanted to be banned so I let you go to prove a point, you proved it. The names you called us were very unbecoming of a gentleman, officer or human and from this point forward any one who uses language like that to us again will be immediately banned from this site.

GSD I didn't put words in your mouth.  I asked you what you meant.  Good that we agree that OFA on dogs is important.

I didn't attack SS and I even posted earlier that it wasn't intended towards her and apologised if it appeared that way.

There are no "digs" to get in here(at least not from me).  I only discussed what the OP put out there for information.  To me, that is staying on topic.  I believe I even commented at one point that the puppies were cute but that there was an opportunity here for education.

I guess then that it is all in the eyes of the beholder and the beholder had become wary of the attacks and being chased off of other threads because of the arguing. I have noticed you are less confrontational since you went back to your original name. I appreciate it.

by mklevin on 08 October 2014 - 15:10

Thanks I guess, but I'm not any different.  As regards the argueing, we are going to disagree on all kinds of issues and topics and evidently what the topic even is is up for debate sometimes.

Getting defensive and feeling picked on while hard to deal with are not the intent of most posters.  It is only thru disagreement that discussion and learning will occur.  If everyone agreed, there would be nothing to discuss and nothing learned.

But wouldn't you agree that learning from someone who captures your attention is better than say learning from someone who beats you up? In school I learned more from the teachers who could tell me I was wrong without belittling than my 9th grade English teacher who felt belittling and talking down to students was a much better way to teach. You want to catch a fly what works better vinegar or sugar? So, lets move on and put this behind us. I know I can and will. You may be the same but your approach so far seems better.

I am done, let this go back to its original intent and if you feel you need the last words have at it.

I actually like this breeding. It is a shame the mother is with no coat in the picture. Since Sunsilver is co-owner I hope we get treated to a better image of her female in the future.
I made this so you can see how they look again since we have so many pages. Right away you can see the sire has the better withers and tighter back. If you can gently coax the pups into a stack we can see how they turned out. Temperament is something only the lucky people that get to see the puppies will see.

The sire also has prodeced some deep shoulders, like this dog I have added below. As for health checks, no problem with asking, but you only have to ask once, and don't flood the thread with what we already know. If pups are for sale you should make a classified and leave the thread for braggs, nice pictures, help with problems or constructive critique.
