I recently had a litter of puppies develop a fungus issue resulting in hair loss on tails and a few back paws. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you clear it up? Also how long does it take for hair to come back? I have been to vet for meds twice, infection is under control. Hair regrowth is my concern now.

coconut oil, internal/external

I've been using coco butter for a week external. Will that work or do I need to get just coco oil?

Hair regrowth will take a couple of months at least. My dog caught her tail in the door back in May, and you can still see where the hair is missing. There's not much you can do to hurry it along.

What type of fungus was it? Ringworm is the most common.

My vet did not identify it for me , just gave me meds for topical and oral use. Spreading has stopped, started at three weeks old, extreme heat and rainy conditions not helping, now 6 weeks old. I'm looking for all hair growing remedies. I know it will take some time.

Coconut oil is anti-fungal; anti viral; anti bacterial, the list goes on and on, cant say whether cocoa butter is same.  Is topical/and internal.
