As far as Charlottesville goes, awhite guy who was in his car trying to escape antifa hitting his car with baseball bats ran into acrowd that was blocking the street.. he hit a girl who leg wasbroken. The girl who died there, died from heat stroke and was morbidly obease...the guy was a scapegoat and wassent to prison, I think for life.

Joan, that is such TOTAL B.S. that I can't even bother replying to it. Oh, and he got TWO life terms...

white supremacists tried to tear down a Gen. Lee statue? do you even know who Gen. Lee was. talk about an oxymoron.

they would be more likely to burn candles and pray for his soul.

this shit is venturing off into the twilight zone.

it would be at least a little interesting if the other side had a clue what the hell the different groups are.

Here's the woman you say was 'morbidly obese'!

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40924922

Here is an accurate recount of what happened, supported by numerous cross-references: http:// https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlottesville_car_attack

A 2010 Dodge Challenger drove down Fourth Street Southeast mall crossing and idled for a short time behind the Toyota at the Downtown Mall.[6][22][15] It then backed up and traveled more than a block before rapidly accelerating forward.[15]

At around 1:45 p.m. on August 12, 2017, the 2010 Dodge Challenger impacted a crowd of counter-protesters while driving at a high speed.[1][3][6][22][24] The speed was estimated between 23–28 miles per hour (37–45 km/h) by a police crash reconstructionist.[25] It audibly rammed pedestrians and struck the white sedan.[6] The impact accelerated the sedan to 17.1 miles per hour (27.5 km/h).[26] The impact reportedly "[shoved] tons of metal into the crowd" and sent people "flying through the air" and over another car near the intersection with Water Street East.[6][27] The struck vehicle also hit the maroon minivan ahead, "sending that vehicle into more pedestrians".[6] A few seconds after the initial impact, some in the crowd began hitting the car with objects including a baseball bat,[28] and Fields drove in reverse—hitting more people—with his car's front bumper "scraping the road."[6][22] Pedestrians who had avoided the attack chased Fields along Fourth Street.[6]

Fields backed up at a high speed for several blocks, and then turned left and sped off down Market Street.[22][29] A Virginia State Police Bell 407 helicopter, that crashed about three hours later, was following the car and relaying its route to ground units.[22][15] A deputy stopped and arrested Fields on Monticello Avenue, about 1 mile (1.6 km) from the attack.[22][30] The deputy waited for backup to arrive, and detective Steven Young came from the police department. According to Young, Fields kept apologizing and asked if anyone was injured. When Young told him that a person had died, Fields appeared shocked and started to cry.[22][15][31] Young said that the Dodge had holes in the rear window[30][32] and heavy front-end damage; Young said that the car was "splattered" with blood and flesh. A pair of blue sunglasses was stuck in the spoiler on the car's trunk.[22]

But of course, all the above carefully documented court testimony is 'fake news' isn't it, Joan?

(Edit: yeah, I know I said it was so ridiculous I wasn't going to respond, but then I started to get mad a Joan's denial of the facts...)

lets not overlook a couple other facts.

1. he was a neo nazi. you know the nazi, that thousands of Americans died so that all Europe is not now Nazi.

2. "Republican Senator Ted Cruz called on the Department of Justice to prosecute the suspect for domestic terrorism."

the key word here is "Republican" you know the people you are trying to label as evil white supremacists, to somehow fit your nonsensical posts.

Rik, I can give you an eyewitness report - several actually:

http:// https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2017/08/what-the-alt-left-was-actually-doing-in-charlottesville.html

Around this time, statues of Confederate generals were being torn down. Although there was no sign the marchers at Charlottesville planned to do this, the Unite the Right faction wanted to get to the statue, because some people in the city wanted it removed. The wanted to make it a focal point for their protest and march.

A group of clergy who had united together were determined the weren't going to get into the park The were totally unarmed, but linked their arms together, hoping the protesters would respect them. It didn't happen, and they would have been beaten to a pulp if some of the armed left-wing supporters hadn't stepped in.

Hope that clarifies the situation. I read about it in detail at the time, because I was so shocked by the Nazi flag being openly displayed by the marchers, and by the death of Heather Heyer.

Many different denominations of clergy (including Christians, Muslims and Jews) united together to protest the march, and I thought what they did was incredibly brave:

Rik, I am not sure if you above post is directed at me, but if it is, my dislike for the Republicans is spelled T-R-U-M-P.

One thing Canadians don't get is how incredibly partisan U.S. politics is. We have 3 main parties, and you vote for the person who you feel will best represent your interests, not because of the party they belong to.

I would have difficulty telling you what party most of the past presidents have belonged to, once you get past Kennedy...

by joanro on 02 November 2020 - 12:11

Sunni, you know nothing about our country. Your posts are all propaganda. Sounds like you don't even know anything about your own country.

Talking to you is like talking to an antifa/ blm goon.
So you don't like Our President....so what! I don't like your soyboi pm. Does that change your life? No. Stay focused on your hate, it seems to keep your energised.

Rik

by Rik on 02 November 2020 - 12:11

yea it was directed at you. so wonder no more.

who do you think Americans vote for. someone who doesn't represent their interests. I'm a union guy, my interests are jobs, freedom and law and order. sleeping peacefully at night.

they were intended to protect the statue, not tear it down as you stated. that's why I said you have no clue.

and the saddest part is that poor neo nazi was just about to turn his life around. start junior college and all. maybe go to church. oh well, what could have been.

no one here is in favor of crap like that and he got what he deserved.

Sunni here is your paragraph.

"One thing Canadians don't get is how incredibly partisan U.S. politics is. We have 3 main parties, and you vote for the person who you feel will best represent your interests, not because of the party they belong to".

Then if this is the way you really feel about voting. Why are you posting on here night and day about an election you can't even vote in?

From reading your posts, you're just as full of HATE as the looney left down here. It's gotten so bad down here people can't express who they intend to vote for. Because they will be fired, punished, attacked, phoney bad reviews about there business. They steal you signs right out of your yard.

So the silent civilized majority just carry on with their mouths shut. But they are totally pissed off, and they are all going to vote. Trump is going to win in a landslide.

The page before there was a video of a car following the Biden bus being so-called run off the road. I can't say for others but I was taught that if you wish to change lanes you don't do it if there is another car there. You wait until the lane is clear. Is this different in Canada?

Sunsilver the bipartisan stuff did not used to be like this or at least as bad as it is now until say about 14 years ago. The last almost 4 years really bad and I don't blame Trump for that. Just the losers who could not accept the outcome.
